.       YABC:   Can you tell our readers about yourself and your blog?

Hi everyone! My name is Sarah and I blog at theyabooktraveler.com. I fell in love with YA books about six years ago and it's changed my life in such a fun way. I was a broadcasting major in college and love editing videos so one day Susan Dennard was holding a contest to be on her street team and I decided to make a book trailer for her book, Truthwitch. That was the beginning of my book trailer journey! Since then I've made almost 20 trailers for other books. I've loved it. As far as reading, my favorite genres are fantasy and scifi but I do occasionally love a good contemporary or historical. I also co-host a monthly blogger Twitter chat which has the goal to help promote blog hopping!

YABC:    Describe how did you first get into blogging?

I discovered the book community on Twitter many years ago and I fell in love with the idea of creating my own book blog! I had no idea that it would become such an integral part of my daily life. I started off doing a few reviews and weekly memes, like Top Ten Tuesday! Since then it's grown and I've loved every moment.

YABC:   What type of networking do you think is better to enhance your traffic to the blog?

I think in order to enhance traffic to your blog, you need to get involved in the community! First off, blog hopping. If you yourself don't visit, follow, and comment on other blogs, your traffic will stay low. Another important networking aspect is building relationships on social media such as Twitter and Instagram. If you have QUALITY content, promote yourself and build relationships, your traffic will increase.

YABC:   Who has impacted you most in blogging and how?

The people who have impacted me the most are other bloggers who keep encouraging me. There will come a day (or many days) where you feel like throwing in the towel on blogging. Whether you're struggling with personal life, time for blogging, motivation, whatever it is, having a core group of blogging friends who can cheer you on are a necessity! Blogging can be done alone but it really shouldn't be. The online book community can be a huge resource for creativity, motivation and much more.

YABC:   What do you find the most frustrating aspect of blogging?

The most frustrating aspect of blogging is lack of time. I think many of us relate to this because we've love nothing more than to read and blog, but that's unrealistic. I work full time and have kids so my time is extremely limited. If I could be paid to blog, things would change but because I don't, I have to work it in when I can. I'd love to do more, but I've had to learn to be content with what I'm able to do.

YABC:   Can you tell me some of your strengths that really helped you in blogging?

I think the two strengths I have that have helped me in blogging are: 1) Building friendships on Twitter and 2) Creative Content and Branding. There are so many amazing bloggers out there and I've built amazing relationships with bloggers and readers all over the world. If you spend all your time only blogging and promoting, you will miss out on new readers who will visit your blog just because you're involved in their lives. You must reach out. Secondly, it helps a lot if you have  to distinguish yourself from other bloggers out there. MANY bloggers do similar things so you need to figure out how to make yourself stand out. I, for example, make book trailers. It's something that a lot of bloggers don't do. Also just work on creative posts and think outside the box when it comes to reviews, discussions and any other posts you do.

YABC:   Tell me about your proudest achievement?

I think one of my proudest moments was being hired by Spencer Hill Press to create official book trailers for their books. I've created two trailers for them (Lessons in Falling and A Different Blue) and it's been an awesome experience working with a publisher to help promote these books!

YABC:    Can you name some of your favorite bloggers and explain why they are your favorites?

There are so many amazing bloggers out there but for the sake of time, I will mention only three. First are the ladies over at The Tales of the Ravenous Reader (Nancy and Christy) http://www.talesoftheravenousreader.com. They are both consistent with posting but also do amazing coverage of author events. They are fortunate to live in an area where a large portion of tours travel to and are both the biggest cheerleaders for authors. Plus they are extremely generous with providing giveaways from all these events. They cover the events on Twitter, Instagram and even doing author interviews for their BookTube channel. They are genuine and it shows.

Secondly, is a blogger who because of college isn't posting as often but I've always loved the discussion posts by Rachel at A Perfection Called Books http://aperfectioncalledbooks.blogspot.com. Rachel's posts are always well though out, smart and engaging. This blog also has other amazing co-bloggers on it!

Lastly are Helena and Becky over at Book Nerd Addict http://www.booknerdaddict.com. These two ladies are some of the sweetest and most genuine book lovers out there! They adore reading but also engage with their audience through chatting and giveaways. I love their enthusiasm for reading and authors and both of them always put a smile on my face.

THANK YOU Sarah for all your hard work and dedication to the blogging community and thank you for taking time out to allow us to interview you and share your thoughts with all of our readers!!! Keep up the good work and looking forward to all of your future posts!!!
