YABC: What was your inspiration for this story?
Kim: One Christmas break, I almost got stuck at the John Wayne airport while traveling back to Sacramento to be with family. It wasn't fun! I thought why not add an element of magic and use a twist with a mythological god to bring Christmas cheer! Also a certain god we all know and love will be popping up in book three of my GODDESS series.
YABC: Tell us about your other works or projects? Where can we find your books?
Kim: I'm currently revising a YA post-apocalyptic novel where a Latina teen questions her cult’s faith. I'm also working on a romance set in Tuscany, Italy and book three of the GODDESS series which will find Jordan and Selena in Rome. Readers can find my books on Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble.com, and IndieBound.
YABC: When it's book haul time at YABC, how do you decide which books to request?
Kim: It really depends on what my mood is at the time. Right now I'm loving books set in European cities like Rome, London, Paris. I always love a good paranormal. Diverse novels with strong Latina protagonists are my all-time favorites too. Plus, I love graphic novels, historical YAs, Sci-fi soap operas, and anthologies.
Kim's Awards:
I’m a member of Romance Writer’s of America, where my manuscript placed third in the From the Heart Romance Writer’s Pages of the Heart Contest.
