Today, we're super excited to share the gorgeous cover for MEET ME AT MIDNIGHT, by Jessica Pennington. (April 2020 from Tor Teen). We're big fans of summer romcoms and can't wait to get our hands on this book. First, a note from the author:

Hi YABC!
I'm so excited to share the cover of my new summer vacation romcom, MEET ME AT MIDNIGHT! This book was so much fun to write, and I'm absolutely thrilled that it comes through on this cover. Because I came up with a title that doesn't express the enemies-to-lovers aspect of this book AT ALL (oops!), the design team had a big job. It was really important to me to have that aspect of the book come through on the cover. And wow, did they nail it! Sidney and Asher turn their summer vacations into absolute chaos through their relentless pranks on one another, and I think that really shines through here. I hope you love it as much as I do!

ABOUT THE BOOK:

Eighteen-year-olds Sidney and Asher have spent summers together since they were twelve. Every summer it’s the same—in between cookouts and boat rides and family-imposed bonfires, the two spend the dog days of summer finding the ultimate ways to prank each other.

Now, the summer after their senior year, the two know that their forced family vacations are nearing an end, and each is determined to make this last one count. But when their families are kicked out of their beloved beach houses just one week into their eight-week vacation, their plans are suddenly in jeopardy.

When they find themselves in uncomfortable new accommodations, Sidney expects summer to continue as usual. But then she gets a note—Meet me at midnight. And Asher has a proposition for her: join forces for one last summer of epic pranks, against a shared enemy—the woman who kicked them out of their vacation homes. But can they put their pasts aside and actually work as a team? And with their attention finally on something other than tormenting one another—can they ignore the obvious attraction building between them?

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Jessica Pennington is no stranger to the combination of love and drama. She’s a wedding planner, after all. A writer since the age of ten—when she sought publication for her poem about a tree—Jessica likes the challenge of finding the humor in a sad situation or highlighting the awkwardness in a romantic one. A serial entrepreneur with a B.A. in public relations, Pennington has a passion for grassroots marketing. She lives in a Michigan beach town, where she owns more YA novels than many teens and spends most of her time on a laptop, rather than a beach.
