What do you think about the map and synopsis of WINTERSPELL?
Hooray! Cat Scully is a fabulous artist and a great lady. So glad the two have teamed up. 😀
This book sounds fantastic! I can’t wait till I get my hands on it!
Ah, the map is so cool! I love books with maps, so this is delightful. Was already very much looking forward to Winterspell (I mean, a retelling of the Nutcracker? What?!) and loved the cover, but this gorgeous map is another plus. The frame, I think, is my favorite.
This map is so unique and gorgeous! I used to dance in The Nutcracker as a little girl so I am seeing some familiar elements in the map but with an really cool new twist! This book is definitely one of my most highly anticipated fall releases.
I am very much looking forward to this book! The map is lovely!
This map is super cool looking! I kinda wish the map would be in color in the book, but that would be super pricey. But a map in a book makes me super excited, and this book sounds AMAZING, so double yay!
LOVE Claire Legrand and I love the map! It is such an awesome work of art, with all the detail 🙂
Thank you 🙂
I love the map of CANE! I didn’t know there was going to be one this makes me very excited to get the hardcover I am quite obsessed with books that have maps!!! 😀
I was already really excited for Winterspell, based on its cover and synopsis, but the fact that it has a map makes it even cooler!

The map of Cane is BEAUTIFUL! It makes the world of Winterspell come to life even more. I am so excited for Winterspell’s release. This is just my kind of book!
I love the map and can’t wait to read this book.
The synopsis…AMAZING!!
I know this will be yet ANOTHER great book by Claire Legrand.
Map, I don’t even know if there’s enough words to describe how beautiful it is! If I don’t win I want to print it and hang it on my wall!
I think it is utterly stunning!!!
WINTERSPELL sounds good, but that MAP. Oh my gosh, I want it. I want it BAD. It’s so preeetty. Thanks for the giveaway!
I can already imagine this world, and I am desperate for this book. I was one of a handful of teen boys in high school drama, and was asked by my local ballet company to join the cast of The Nutcracker Ballet. They needed us to do ballroom dancing, acting in the party scene background, and help move set pieces in Act 2. It was magical, and not JUST because the director happens to be a descendant of E.A. Hoffman, the author of The Nutcracker. What an amazing experience, and I’d live it all over again in this awesome YA version of the story. Cannot wait!!
The map looks gorgeous! I can’t wait to dive into Winterspell!
The fantasy of living a double-life especially one in which Clara learns self-defense in secret is reason enough to want to read this book. And of course, the added feature of a map! Looking forward to being “hypnotized” by WINTERSPELL. Congratulations to Claire Legrand! And thanks for hosting this giveaway, YA Books Central. 😀
The book sounds amazing!! Cannot wait to read it, the maps are so beautiful!

The map looks great ,especially the color version. To have a heroine as the lead character is always one of my interest, look forward to checking this out.
I have been excited about this book since I first heard of it, because I grew up loving the Nutcracker ballet.

The map is beautiful! Just like Claire, I’m a sucker for maps in books. I like that this isn’t a traditional looking map either – very unique borders!

I love the WINTERSPELL cover and the map makes the book even more enticing! I love having a visual to see how the author really envisioned their land.
The map is amazing! The synopsis of this book sounds wonderful too.
I’ve never been drawn to maps, but this map is engrossing. It’s so different from what’s usually included in a fantasy book. I’ve been waiting to read Winterspell ever since Claire blogged The 12 Days of Winterspell back in December. I need to have it now!
The synopsis sounds AMAZING. And I love the map too – who knew Winterspell would have a map? Not that I’m complaining. ;D
If I had to choose between WINTERSPELL and the map I fear I might explode! 😉
This sounds so good! The book cover is gorgeous!
Novelization of an enchanting fairytale from my childhood? Yes, please! And the maps are so pretty! They’re fairytale-esque, but they also have a sort of Gothic undertone.
Maps! So pretty! I love it when a book includes a map, it sucks me deeper into the story.
The map is gorgeous and makes me even more excited to get my hands on this book!!
