More the Merrier
What Worked: All kids understand how it feels to feel left out. Luna Girl wants to go to the sleepover at Owlette’s house but didn't get an invitation. She shows up uninvited to the sleepover and behaves badly. She tries to ruin the fun. However, when Motsuki also comes to cause trouble, Luna girl does the right thing and helps save everyone. In the end, she was allowed to stay and join the fun.
What left me wanting more: I was a bit disappointed that the heroes would leave others out at first. I liked that they changed their minds.
Final Verdict: The text was a Ready to Read level one and was accessible to emergent readers. The illustrations and action felt like the cartoon. This would be a great book for fans of PJ Masks and a good way to discuss with your little one about including others.
