Festive and Charming Christmas board book

FA-LA-LA LLAMA is a delightfully festive board book song. The book features llamas getting into the spirit of the non-religious Christmas season, decorating hats with holly, joyfully singing, ice skating, and juggling lots of presents among other things. Each page features a line to be sung to the tune of “Deck the Halls” with a “Fa la la la la, la la Llama,” and each spread has a touchable feature with a different texture, such as the soft beard of a llama dressed as Santa and the tulle skirt of an ice skating llama.

What I loved: This charming and festive board book is sure to be a hit with toddlers, who will enjoy the song, length, and touch-and-feel elements. The pages turn quickly, and with only 10, this works well for infants through preschoolers, particularly if caregivers are willing to sing along. Each page is very sturdy and includes the touchable item, with the coolest being Santa’s beard and the tulle skirt mentioned above. The song is easy to sing and has the perfect amount of syllables on each page. They also rhyme, so if not sung, there is still auditory interest. The text is printed in a large and colorful font which adds to the design and is easy to read aloud. Illustrations are lovely and full of festive llamas, bright and seasonal colors, and all the joy of the holidays.

Final verdict: A holiday joy, FA-LA-LA LLAMA is a delightful touch-and-feel board book song that is sure to enchant infants and toddlers.
