Bilingual Friendship

HELLO FRIEND/HOLA AMIGO is a bilingual board book based off a song from Latin Grammy Award-winning musical duo 123 Andrés. This book can be read in three different ways: only in Spanish, only in English, or reading them both. The message is that it doesn't matter where you're from or if you speak English or Spanish. Each person is unique and everyone matters.

The illustrations are vibrant and the overall theme of the book is friendship. Bilingual homes are more and more common and it's refreshing to see books targeting them. This kind of stories have been a long time coming and I hope to see more and more. The author does a great job of making the story fun, engaging, and incorporates both English and Spanish in a style that flows.

Final Verdict: I would recommend this to children of bilingual homes or for those parents who want to broaden their children's knowledge of different cultures.
