It’s Live!! Cover Reveal: Storm from the East by Joanna Hathaway + Giveaway (US/Canada)
Hi, YABCers!
Today we're excited to celebrate the cover reveal for
Storm from the Easy by Joanna Hathaway,
releasing February 11, 2020 from Tor Teen!
Before we get to the cover, here's a note from the author:
I'm incredibly excited to reveal the cover for the second book in the Glass Alliance series today! Storm from the East picks up right after the events in Dark of the West and barrel rolls us straight into the middle of war. I can definitely promise there will be more politics and history to discover in this second installment, along with plenty of star-crossed love letters, buried secrets, and complicated family dynamics. I can't wait to share more of Aurelia and Athan's journey with readers! And once again, I'm blown away by how our cover artist Marisa Aragón Ware has captured this story so perfectly. From the tools of war (tanks and planes) to the symbols of peace (mountains and flowers), she's created a truly stunning visual which I'm completely in love with. Each element featured corresponds in some integral way to Storm from the East.
~Joanna

About the Book
War has begun, and the days of Athan’s and Aurelia’s secret, summer romance feel a world away.
Led by Athan’s father, the revolutionary Safire have launched a secret assault upon the last royal kingdom in the South, hoping to depose the king and seize a powerful foothold on the continent. Athan proves a star pilot among their ranks, struggling to justify the violence his family has unleashed as he fights his way to the capital—where, unbeknownst to him, Aurelia has lived since the war’s onset. Determined to save the kingdom Athan has been ordered to destroy, she partners with a local journalist to inflame anti-Safire sentiment, all while learning this conflict might be far darker and more complex than she ever imagined.
When the two reunite at last, Athan longing to shake the nightmare of combat and Aurelia reeling from the discovery of a long-buried family truth come to light, they’ll find the shadow of war stretches well beyond the battlefield. Each of them longs to rekindle the love they once shared . . . but each has a secret they’re desperate to hide.
