It’s Live! Cover Reveal: Stone Fever: Erebus Tales, Book 1 by Norman Westhoff + Giveaway (US Only)
We're so excited to celebrate the new cover for
Stone Fever (Erebus Tales #1) by Norman Westoff,
which released 11/30/2020 from Iguana Books!
Hello YABC! I’m Norman Westhoff, author of the Erebus Tales series. Stone Fever, the first book, was previously self-published in 2016, with a cover not too different from this one. The book was republished by Iguana Books a few months ago with a new cover. Sales were not as good as we had hoped. Comparing the new and old covers, YABC’s Clint Redwine thought that YA readers would be more attracted to the old cover. A subsequent survey of over thirty readers, both YA and adults, proved his hunch right. Ruth Dwight went back and made a few important tweaks to the old cover, and Voila!, here you have it.
Here it is!

About the Book
Radical climate change has reshaped human geography by the 24th century. Canadian geologist Keltyn SparrowHawk flies to Antarctica, searching for the strategic mineral iridium. After her plane crash-lands, she and her crew encounter two teens from a local tribe of nomads: orphan would-be gaucho Joaquin Beltran and horsewoman Luz Hogarth, who also seeks the elusive iris stone. Keltyn befriends them both, but now she must reckon with the volcano where the stone lies, the tribe’s hostile leaders, the hidden agenda of her sponsor back home, and rattling skeletons in her closet. Soon she plunges into an ill-conceived gamble that spirals into free-fall. Her two new friends are the only ones who can help, but each must first survive their own ordeals.
