It's Live!! Cover Reveal: Seasons Of The Storm (Elle Cosimano), Plus Giveaway! ~ (INT)

SS

Hi, YABCers!

Today we're excited to celebrate the cover reveal for

Seasons Of The Storm by Elle Cosimano,

releasing June 23rd, 2020 from HarperTeen!

Before we get to the cover, here's a note from the author:

Hello, YABC Readers!

Some years ago, I was challenged by fellow authors at The Hanging Garden blog to write a short story to go with this GIF: https://media.giphy.com/media/ddmghyXISQyHe/giphy.gif

I wrote about a Spring girl named Fleur who’d fallen for a Winter boy named Jack—a boy she was destined to kill every year. These star-crossed teens stuck with me. Their short story had such a tragic ending, and it gutted me a little to write it. I wanted to imagine some other ending for them—a way for them to be together—but nature and time are unrelenting. Time marches on, the earth revolves around the sun, and one season bleeds into the next.

I know, right??? But what about love??? What about free will and kissing??? I was certain if I couldn’t figure this out, my fictional characters were going to wreck me!

So from the depths of my hopelessly romantic (and murderous) heart, the seed of a novel grew.

The stunning jacket of this magical adventure was designed by Jenna Stempel-Lobell, and features artwork by Pauline Boiteux. They are both so incredibly talented, and thanks to the team at HarperTeen, my book is dressed to kill. Which feels more than perfect!

I hope you’re as enchanted with it as I am.

XO,

Elle

About the Book

Choice number one: live or die.

One cold, crisp night, Jack Sommers was faced with that choice—live forever according to the ancient, magical rules of Gaia, or die. Jack chose to live, and in exchange, he became a Winter. Like the other Seasons, each year Jack must hunt and kill the one before him. Gaia’s rules are pretty straightforward. Winter kills Autumn. Autumn kills Summer. Summer kills Spring. And Spring kills Winter.

Which means that Jack kills Amber. Amber kills Julio. Julio kills Fleur. And Fleur kills Jack. They die. They train. They hunt.

But when Jack and Fleur—Winter and Spring—fall for each other against all odds, the true brutality of their eternal lives becomes all too personal and all too painful. And Fleur is on the brink of being purged, forever. Unless they can come up with a plan to stop the cycle.

When the four Seasons unite, risking immortality for a chance at love and to reclaim their free will, their cross-country escape brings them to a place where they must defend each other against a creator who seeks to destroy them all.

This book is already on my TBR list. I saw it on Goodreads as a recommendation becuase of the books I've read so far and fell in love with the cover and the blurb. The synopsys is a cherry on the top.

I absolutely adore this cover! It's one of those covers that you can't help but just pick up and stare at because it's pretty. I Know you aren't meant to judge a book by it's cover, but if I saw this in the shop - I probably would. The synopsis sounds very interesting and different! I love the idea of forbidden romances but with a twist of something so unique. This books sounds super interesting!!
