CoverRevealPic

Hi, YABCers!

Today we're excited to celebrate the cover reveal for

Empress Of All Seasons by Emiko Jean,

releasing November 2018 from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt BYR!

Before we get to the cover, here's a note from Emiko:

Hello YABC! Welcome to the exclusive cover reveal for EMPRESS OF ALL SEASONS.

I’m so excited to share the cover with you for my upcoming novel, EMPRESS OF ALL SEASONS.  This cover has it all – a gorgeous Japanese inspired print that reminds of the kimonos my character, Mari, wears in the book and a pretty lethal looking naginata, a weapon Mari wields as an extension of her own arm. The designers at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Books for Young Readers really got this one right. Check it out. And make sure you enter to win a galley of this book. I guarantee its insides are as beautiful as its outside.

~ Emiko ~

About the Book

In the contest to become the next empress of Honoku, the winner is the one who survives. Mari has been training for her whole life, so winning should be easy—but she’s hiding a deadly secret: she is a yōkai, a supernatural race of monsters and spirits the emperor has sworn to destroy. As she fights to keep her true identity hidden, Mari’s fate entwines with that of Taro, a prince with no desire to inherit the throne, and Akira, half-yōkai and an outcast among humans and yōkai alike. Duty and love, loyalty and betrayal, vengeance and forgiveness collide and the fate of Honoku itself is at stake in this beautifully written, thrilling fantasy.

The cover is simple but it intrigues you. Like it did with me, it makes you wonder what the book is about and when you read it you discover that it sounds really good!
