It's Live!! Cover Reveal: By A Charm and A Curse by Jaime Questell + Giveaway (US Only)
Hi, YABCers!
Today we're super excited to celebrate the cover reveal for BY A CHARM AND A CURSE by Jaime Questell, releasing Febuary 6, 2018 from Entangled Teen. Before we get to the cover, here's a note from Jaime:
Hi YABCers!
As a graphic designer, I think waiting to see my debut novel’s cover was one of the parts of the publishing process I was the most excited about. There’s so much to good design; you have to convey tone and atmosphere all while making something that will stand out on the shelf. And don’t even get me started on fonts. When I saw my cover, I was absolutely thrilled. The designer nailed the spooky aspects of the book that I worked so hard to create, and of course, she put a Ferris wheel (which is so important to the plot) front and center. Both the author and the designer in me are very happy. I can’t wait for everyone to read By a Charm and a Curse, but I’m so happy to share this with you in the meantime!
XOXO
Jaime

BY A CHARM AND A CURSE
LeGrand’s Carnival Fantastic isn’t like other traveling circuses. It’s bound by a charm, held together by a centuries-old curse, that protects its members from ever growing older. Seventeen-year-old Emmaline King is drawn to the circus like a moth to a flame…and unwittingly recruited into its folds by a mysterious teen boy whose kiss is as cold as ice.
Forced to travel through Texas as the new Girl In the Box, passing out fortunes and searching for the poor soul she can transfer the curse to with one frosty kiss, Emmaline begins to fall for the quiet carnival carpenter Ben Singer. Ben is just as desperate to start a life outside the carnival as Emmaline is to escape her destiny—but giving in to their undeniable attraction means Ben’s fate would be sealed.
Breaking the curse seems like their only chance at happiness—but no curse means no charm, either, dooming every circus worker they’ve grown to care about in the process.
JAIME QUESTELL grew up in Houston, Texas, where she escaped the heat and humidity by diving into stacks of Baby Sitter’s Club and Sweet Valley High books. She has been a book seller (fair warning: book lovers who become book sellers will give half their paychecks right back to their employers), a professional knitter, a semi-professional baker, and now works as a graphic designer in addition to writing. Currently, she lives in the suburbs with her family, one derpy dog, and one imperious cat. If she had her way, she’d have an army of corgis, like the Queen of England.

Love the cover and the book sounds really interesting
I like the cover, it was what drew me in. The synopsis at first kind of reminded me of Caraval, but after reading it fully this book is something all on it's own. It makes you curious as to how everything will unravel
The cover is not bad. The plot sounds like a cross between Caraval and Vagabond Circus. I loved them both so I am sure I will love this.
The cover colors are very nice and I love the exciting synopsis! Reminds me of Caraval a bit and I loved that book.
