Hi, YABCers!
Today we’re super excited to celebrate the cover reveal for RETURN OF THE CONTINUUMS by Jennifer Brody, releasing November 1, 2016 from Turner Publishing. Before we get to the cover, here’s a note from Jennifer:
Hi, YABC! I’m beyond THRILLED to share the brilliant cover for the second book in my trilogy—Return of the Continuums. I’m a writer. Hence, words are my friends. Design/visuals are more like my frenemies. So when I first discussed the covers for my series with my publisher, I basically said…please make it classic and not cheasy and mind-blowing and mysterious and EVERYTHING ELSE! Wow, did they deliver…and then some. I may have shed a tear when I saw cover for the first book. I didn’t think I could love another cover more. And then I saw this one. It continues the theme of the cover for the first book. After a cataclysmic event destroys the surface of the Earth, the characters take shelter in contingency shelters designed to sustain human life. Some are located underwater, some in outer space, and some are deep underground. The first book had a “water” theme, while this book focuses more on the surface and underground colonies. So the subdued template and visuals all hint to that. The textures in the background are actually mining rigs. Pretty clever, right? I have many people to thank at Turner Publishing for the spectacular cover, but most of all Maddie Cothren, the brilliant designer. We’ll have tons of promotions and giveaways happening over the next few months, so follow me on social media for a chance to win fun swag.

OBSESSED WITH THE ROTC COVER JENN! Love the backstory and bravo to Turner Pub and artist Maddie Cothren! Even more obsessed with the close up now that I’ve seen all the details. Truly in love.
The cover is really unique and the colours remind me of antique maps. I like how all the areas/elements are represented in the circle.
The continuums books sound great ♡ The cover is also fantastic. Thank you
I love the cover very much. Is it also showing the five elements from Chinese thought systems? Or am I misinterpreting that? Whichever way, I really dig it!
I really like the cover! It’s not like the typical YA novel. The books sound really interesting, and I look forward to reading them.
SUCH a pretty cover- as is the first in the series! I like that they’re distinct, but still pretty, and so, so unique!
Love the cover! Great post!
Love the cover, it’s very unique.
Love the covers of this series! I mean it has quite a different approach than many YA dystopian novels out there and I LOVE it! Unique and retro!
I like the cover–I used to make my own designs to color like this so it brings back fun memories. I’m so happy this exciting series continues!
This sounds like a great book.
Wow. The cover art design is amazing and I love how they tied it in with the idea of this book’s focus on the surface and underground contingency shelters (Mining rigs? Brilliant!). The colours are nice and subdued as well. It has a very pleasing look! I’m pretty excited about the storyline… eek! This is going to be a great book!
Oh! I wonder who this ally is. What makes him or her so special? The cover is beautiful!
