Two Lies and a Spy
By Kat Carlton
On Sale September 3, 2013

When sixteen-year-old Kari’s dad sends her an unexpected text, she and her brother immediately go into hiding. Because when your parents are superspies and your dad declares a Code Black, it can only mean something bad. Very bad.

Kari soon discovers that her parents have been disavowed and declared traitors, and she’s determined to clear their names. Breaking into the Agency seems like a reasonable plan, especially with the help of a team that includes her longtime crush, Luke, as well as her two best friends—an expert hacker with attitude and a master martial artist—and Luke’s popular, vindictive twin sister. Oh, and a new guy, who’s as cute as he is complicated…

About the Author

b2ap3_thumbnail_11344_407705296.jpgKat Carlton is the alias for a private citizen working in the interests of truth, justice and the American Way. She’d reveal her true identity, but then she’d have to kill too many people…so Kat is content, like most covert operatives, to take names and kick ass from behind the scenes.

I'd choose Magnus Bane (a character from Cassandra Clare's series) to be on my spy team because I think he can get me out of any trouble and it never hurts to have warlock on your side

I would choose Cinder from the Lunar Chronicles because she would remain calm in difficult situations. Besides she is super smart and she seems nice.

1. Sherlock Holmes (Sherlock Holmes series by Sir Conan Doyle) He would solve any mystery we may come across in our spy activities, and he is a master of disguise.
2. Aaron Cross (Bourne series by Robert Ludlum) He is fast, strong, and smart and would be excellent at taking down any enemies, as well as getting in close to targets for optimum spying.
3. Farrah "Digit" Higgins (A Girl Named Digit by Annabel Monaghan) She is a computer and math wiz. she'd be able to crack any code and hack into any computer, as well as encrypt our messages.

I'd pick my husband (he's good at directions),my older son (he has a lot of knowledge about computers, trivia and just all around smart person), my younger son (he's super smart with math, computers and he is patient), my daughter (she's fun to hang around under stressful situation) and I think I would choose Steve Jobs ( he had a good head on his shoulder - smart, down-to-earth, practical, and people respected him)

I would choose Levi from the Crescent Chronicles series, because he could get me out of any bad situation, and he would be great eye candy! I would also choose The watcher boys from Hidden Wings. They are fast, strong, and all good looking as well.

I would have to say that if i was to build a spy team i would start with my boyfriend who is a electronic NERD!!! I would also have to choose Eric, a vampire from True Blood/Sookie Stackhouse by Charlaine Harris, for muscle and stealth. I would also have to choose Hermione Granger, from Harry Potter, because she is extremely smart and can do magic silently.
