ABOUT THE RAVEN CYCLE
Mystery, Romance and the supernatural combine in this series from #1 New York Times bestselling author Maggie Stiefvater.

Book 1: The Raven Boys
Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue never sees them–until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks to her. His name is Gansey, a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble.

But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she can’t entirely explain. He is on a quest that has encompassed three other Raven Boys: Adam, the scholarship student who resents the privilege around him; Ronan, the fierce soul whose emotions range from anger to despair; and Noah, the taciturn watcher who notices many things but says very little.

For as long as she can remember, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love to die. She doesn’t believe in true love, and never thought this would be a problem. But as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she’s not so sure anymore.

Book 2: The Dream Thieves
Now that the ley lines around Cabeswater have been woken, nothing for Ronan, Gansey, Blue, and Adam will be the same. Ronan, for one, is falling more and more deeply into his dreams, and his dreams are intruding more and more into waking life. Meanwhile, some very sinister people are looking for some of the same pieces of the Cabeswater puzzle that Gansey is after….

Book 3: Blue Lily, Lily Blue
There is danger in dreaming. But there is even more danger in waking up.

Blue Sargent has found things. For the first time in her life, she has friends she can trust, a group to which she can belong. The Raven Boys have taken her in as one of their own. Their problems have become hers, and her problems have become theirs.

The trick with found things though, is how easily they can be lost.

  1. Kelly L. says:

My favorite character is definitely Gansey. I mean, how can you not love him? ;DD

  2. Susan Crispell says:

Who is my favorite character? That’s so tough because I adore them all. But I’m gonna have yo say Ronan. He’s a badass but has such a soft spot for those he loves. And his crush in Blue Lily, Lily Blue is the cutest damn thing ever. I want him to be happy so badly. (you know, without losing the angsty Ronan-ness.)

  3. Lauren G says:

I think my favorite character is either Noah or Blue. I love the way they interact with each other and their stories are so interesting to me.

  4. Alyssa says:

I just started the first book so I’m not sure who my favorite character is yet, but I love it so far!!

  5. TheLovelyReader says:

My favorite character is definitely Ronan. He has so many layers that I’m still trying to figure out, and every time I think I know what he’s about, he’s about something else. He has such a fascinating story that I can’t help but enjoy.

  6. Jacklin Updegraft says:

Ugghhh I don’t think I can pick my favorite character… But if I had to choose it would be Blue because she is amazing! Followed by Gansey and Ronan!

  7. Christina R. says:

Blue because she’s brave and smart!!

thank you so very much 🙂

  8. Shalena Mathews says:

That is really difficult! Right now I think it’s a tie between Ronan and Gansey.

  9. Iza says:

Other than the boys and Blue, one of my favorite characters is Persephone. She’s so mysterious 🙂

  10. Makaela says:

My favorite character is Blue. I love her family and the life she leads. She’s pretty awesome!

  11. LadyD says:

I have not read The Raven Cycle, but the series sounds interesting.

  12. Kaitlyn C. says:

My favorite character is Blue because of how well she handles everything, including her family and the boys! 🙂

  13. Mina D. says:

    Blue because she’s just awesome

  14. Anna Weimer says:

Blue is my favorite because I was instantly drawn to her by the way Maggie described her!

  15. Emily says:

Blue is my favorite, I love her relationships with all the characters, including the women she lives with.

  16. Jackeline Gonzalez says:

have not read the series yet

  17. Ronan is my favorite because he’s complex.

  18. Melissa Hardy says:

I just started The Raven Boys so I don’t have a favorite yet…loving it so far, I can’t stop reading!

  19. maidenveil says:

haven’t started on this series yet, but excited!

  20. Alex Updegraft says:

Ronan Lynch because he’s sarcastic and grumpy and I love that he is protective of the people he loves and then it’s a tie between Blue/Gansey.

  21. Linnea Pietsch says:

My favorite character is totally Ronan. He’s just such a badass, but still sweet at the same time.

  22. Gaby says:

Ronan! He’s so badass and complex.

  23. K. Lea Hudson says:

My favorite character is Ronan because of his complexity, especially in BLLB (I won’t give details since that would be a spoiler). Just when you think he is a total butt, you see how sweet he is to Matthew, or how he defends Adam (against his father).

  24. Karen Goss says:

It’s hard to pick a favorite – all of the characters speak to me in one way or another – but, I’ll go with Ronan. I can relate to his sarcasm and moodiness. His loyalty is impressive as well.

  25. Ashley says:

    RONAN.

Okay, I love almost everyone. I love Blue, Gansey, Calla, JESSIE DITLEY, the Gray Man. I just really have a lot of love, okay?

  26. Nikki says:

My favorite is definitely Ronan, hands down. He’s all sharp edges and snark and apocalyptically-tied ties. XD I love him.

  27. Jessie H. says:

Gansey! Is there someone who doesn’t love Gansey?

  28. Ashley says:

I realized I should expound on WHY I love Ronan so much.

I think it is contradictions that make him so interesting. When you start the series, he is just ridiculously unpleasant. However, when you see him one on one with Noah, Gansey, or his little brother (or CHAINSAW) he has this really gentle side. I really hope he can find happiness. Or, at the very least, comfort and peace about who he is.

  29. shirin sultana says:

My favorite character is Blue, because I love that she is brave .

  30. shirin sultana says:

My favorite character is Blue, because she is brave and strong willed.

  31. Sumeet Kang says:

I loved Maggie Stiefvater’s Shiver trilogy. I have yet to start the Raven Cycle series, but I’m quite looking forward to it!

  32. Lisa says:

Favorite Character in The Raven Boys Cycle is hard to choose. I love the entire group as a unit, but if pressed to choose one, I’d say Ronan. I’m a complete fool for tough exterior/inner sensitivity kinds of guys – Professor Snape among them.

  33. Rachel says:

    Gansey because he is PERFECT

  34. Jen Bruce says:

Uh, I don’t know that I could pick a favorite….Gansey definitely inched ahead of Ronan after BLLB, but then there’s also the smudgy Noah. Can that group of five just count as one?

  35. Brittany T says:

Ronan and his angstness and smart ass attitude. Adam is slowly creeping into my heart too :p

  36. Sajda says:

I love Blue because she’s such a spunky and fun character

  37. bn100 says:

Never read the series, so no fav

  38. Angie says:

    RONANNNNNN

I just love his sharp edges and unapologetic attitude and fierce loyalty and darkness. He’s my favorite kind of character.

  39. Aliessia says:

My favorite character would have to be Gansey, I just loved the way Maggie created him

  40. MaCaila Sharp says:

I imagine I will eventually have a favorite character because I am loving this book, but I just started it so I don’t know yet. I hope I win because I would love to win a copy of each book so I can own it instead of having to check it out from the library.

  41. Kaija says:

Probably Ronan because well he is kind of complicated:D

  42. Molly says:

My favorite character is Gansey. I love how focused he is on his quest and I love how he cares so much about all of his friends. I love this series so much and can’t wait until I go on break and have time to read Blue Lily, Lily Blue!

  43. Rinvee says:

Ronan because he’s so protective over those he loves.

  44. Maisha says:

My favorite character is Ronan because he is badass and just super awesome! 😀

  45. amber lacey says:

I don’t know. I just stumbled across this series and plan on reading it asap.

  46. Wayne says:

Adam is my favorite character just because hes adam!

  47. Stephanie Ward says:

That’s such a hard question! I love Blue because she’s kind of the odd one out – both in her family and in her group of “Raven Boys.” She has her own strengths though and is definitely a character to love!

  48. Vivien says:

I cannot choose!!!! Love them all.

  49. Elizabeth Terry says:

I have to say my favorite characters are Blue, Ronan, and Adam, and, yes, I am aware that’s not really an answer. It’s just that I cannot choose just one as a favorite; they are all amazingly written, beautifully described, and all of them were elegantly created by this author. Of course there are others I fell in love with throughout the book, but I fear that if I did state all of them, this comment would be long and winded. Just like it’s getting to be.

Ta ta! And have an amazingly productive day wherever you are.

  50. Victoria says:

I have yet to read the Raven Cycle so I can;t answer the question as to who is my favorite… But I’ve heard wonderful things about the characters and their names are super cool (Blue and Gansey) 🙂 Thanks for the giveaway! Fingers crossed!
