About The Book

2 Prequels:

Golden Dreg Boy, Prequel, The Skate Park

Kade Shaw and his best friend Marcus are two very rich, very bored Golden teenage boys looking to break away from their predetermined lives. When fellow students fall sick and school is forced to close, Kade questions his privileged life.

After their contact makes a strange request in exchange for the fiberglass they need to build their skate park, Kade's not sure if building a skate park is worth their risks. He knows the risks shouldn't excite him and he should be thrilled being a rich Golden kid—but something is missing.

Golden Dreg Boy, Prequel, Under the Bridge

Saya Leighton belongs to a group of rebels who fight to stay off the radar. Her life is full of missions and scavenges and she’s one of the fiercest fighters and trusted people in her group.

As injuries and bad luck plague their team, she’s assigned a new recruit who she’s not sure is cut out for their dangerous life, and she worries their missions will suffer. But when Saya is assigned a completely new mark to survey, she is intrigued by the possibilities until she realizes she's in over her head.

Golden Dreg Boy, The Slums
Seventeen-year-old Kade Shaw is a privileged Golden. Tired of his mundane life, he regularly sneaks out to the skate park and the slums where the poor Dreg dwell, to take risks and feel alive. Then everything goes horribly wrong and he’s accused of falsifying his Golden status, an offense that carries a death sentence. Forced to question his true heritage after his powerful parents won’t save him, he must make a choice between fighting for his Golden status or helping the Dregs who saved his life.

About the Author

D.K. Dailey has a problem: kind of like I see dead people but for writers. Good thing she fuels that creativity to build worlds and create people who do what she says-well, most of the time. She often says, if she wasn't a writer, she'd be certifiably crazy.

Dailey’s writing journey started as a child when she began writing sci-fi short stories, a result of watching countless hours of Star Trek on a shared TV with her parents. With an inborn passion for telling stories, writing songs and poems, her hobbies erupted into a career path after she penned a play in college and then her first novel. As a writer of color living in Northern California, she's immersed in a tapestry of culture and history that have consistently inspired and helped her pen numerous novels.
