About the Author
Natalie is the author of southern gothic duology Beware the Wild and Behold the Bones (HarperTeen), as well as the editor of the forthcoming young adult anthology, Triangles: The Points of Love. She is the founder of Madcap Retreats, an organization offering a yearly calendar writing retreats and workshops for writers in all stages of their careers. In her not-so-spare time, she is a grant coordinator for the University of Kansas, where she runs writing workshops for tribal college students in STEM disciplines.

The cover is eye catching and was what drew me in. It’s been a while since I’ve read a book with lore being a key point in the story. It would be interesting to see how the author makes the actual plot go along with the lore of Candy’s town.
