Event Recap: YABC and the B-Fest Teen Book Festival
Hi YABC-ers!
Barnes and Noble held their first national Teen Book Festival this past weekend, June 10-12. All across the country, Barnes and Noble stores held author signings, panels, giveaways, trivia games, gave out chapter samplers, and more. Here at YABC, we love all things YA, so several of our staff members went to the festival and joined in on the fun! Below are pictures and stories from from our time at the festival:
"I had a blast at the Barnes and Noble in Knoxville, TN. The staff were very enthuastic about the event, and I loved all the chapter samplers and fun goodies (pictured above)! While there, I of course had to look around for a while, and I spotted one of my favorite 2016 reads on the shelf, Ivory and Bone by Julie Eshbaugh. I think my favorite part of the event was just seeing how excited people were. There were so many passionate readers, eager to look at the sneek peeks and find their next read. It was lovely!" ~Samantha Randolph, Promotions Manager, Barnes and Noble Knoxville, TN
"Being able to hear Sabaa Tahir talk about her writing process was not only inspiring, but informative. She is such a gracious presenter, and the casual setting of BFest was the perfect way to spend an afternoon getting to know one of my favorite authors." Hannah Hudson, Staff Reviewer and Newsletter Manager, Barnes and Noble Orem, UT with Sabaa Tahir
