Cover Reveal: Summer Ruins by Trisha Leigh + Giveaway (International)
When I first saw the cover for Trisha Leigh's first novel, Whispers in Autumn, I thought it was GORGEOUS. The colors, the design -- I was so excited for her. Then when the cover for the second book, Winter Omens, came out, I was floored that the covers FIT together like puzzle pieces. I'm thrilled to "finish the puzzle" on YABC by revealing the final cover in THE LAST YEAR Series below.
But first, a word from Trisha!
Hi YABC readers!! I’m thrilled to share the experience of revealing my very last cover in THE LAST YEAR with you! It’s been a wonderful, emotional experience. The journey began in Whispers in Autumn last July, and sometimes it felt like I would never get here, but here we are!
All four covers were brilliantly designed by Nathalia Suellen (Lady Symphonia on the web and DevantArt), and each beautifully represents both a season and a character—if you haven’t read, you’ll have to in order to figure out what that means! They also form puzzle pieces and fit together to create Althea’s face, which I love. Her face and the idea. ;)
There’s more about the book and the series below. Happy reading!
Ready for the cover? Drum roll please!
Here it is! SUMMER RUINS by Trisha Leigh!
A final battle for the survival of Earth is coming.
Between the alien Others and the destruction of humanity stand four Dissidents.
When the Prime Other banishes them to the Harvest Site to live the remainder of their time on earth as slaves, the Dissidents use the opportunity to learn more about the substance that keeps the Others alive…and how they might use it to their advantage. But the Others guard their secrets well, and the Prime Other has proven his willingness to do whatever’s necessary to secure a future for his race, no matter what or who is destroyed in the process.
When Althea and the boys realize their lives could be the key to allowing another planet to suffer the same fate as earth, they promise they’ll die before they let that happen. If they can’t figure out how to turn the tables in their favor before the Summer Celebration, they might have to do just that.
The end draws near, and there’s only one question left—are the Dissidents going to save their chosen people or perish alongside them?

These covers are so amazing, I have never seen anything like them, and probably will never again. The design is so beautiful and unique, and even though they are different colours, they combine together to create a spectacular harmony.
I love how each of the four covers make up the girl's whole face. Every season is represented well with the color scheme and details representing which season is featured in the separate novels.
I absolutely adore the covers! The fact that they all match up the way they do is so creative and makes a beautiful cover.
Love the covers! I really love how each book ties together with the each other... like a puzzle. It was all done beautifully! I definitely am interested in reading these books.
I just LOVE when authors tie their series together using the book covers! very creative and SUPER gorgeous!!! Kudos!!!
I love how the covers are all so consistent, and when put together, look fantastic! Another great thing about them is how the colour kind of ties in to the season itself.
The covers are absolutely gorgeous! It's so cool how they all fit together like that. I don't think I've ever seen another series do that, and if I didn't already want to read this series, the covers alone would definitely change that.
