Cover Reveal: For Real by Alison Cherry + Giveaway (US/Canada)

Time for the second cover reveal of the week!

Today we're celebrating the cover for FOR REAL by Alison Cherry, releasing December 9, 2014 from Delacorte. Before we get to the cover, here's a message from Alison:

Hi, YABC-ers!

I’m so excited to be back here to reveal the cover of my second book, For Real! I was thrilled when I found out that Heather Daugherty, who did the gorgeous cover for Red, would be designing my second book as well, and she hit it out of the park again. For Real is a book about reality television and the complicated, messy love between sisters, and this cover captures the feel of the story in so many ways. The first thing I thought of when I saw it was the opening credits of The Amazing Race, where each pair of contestants poses cheesily for the cameras while dramatic music plays in the background, and that alone made me fall in love with it. But what really hammered home its perfection was when I showed it to my own sister and she said, “Aw, this reminds me of us!”

I hope you love it as much as I do!

About the book

No parents. No limits. No clue what they're in for.

Shy, cautious Claire has always been in her confident older sister's shadow. While Miranda's life is jam-packed with exciting people and whirlwind adventures, Claire gets her thrills vicariously by watching people live large on reality TV.

When Miranda discovers her boyfriend, Samir, cheating on her just before her college graduation, it's Claire who comes up with the perfect plan. They'll outshine Miranda's fame-obsessed ex while having an amazing summer by competing on Around the World, a race around the globe for a million bucks. Revenge + sisterly bonding = awesome.

But the show has a twist, and Claire is stunned to find herself in the middle of a reality-show romance that may or may not be just for the cameras. This summer could end up being the highlight of her life... or an epic fail forever captured on film. In a world where drama is currency and manipulation is standard, how can you tell what's for real?

The cover and synopsis are great! Love the fun eyeglass shapes and the chevrons, and the cursive font with her name

This book sounds so fun and I think the cover totally matches that feel. I definitely agree with Alison in that I see how it could be the silly pose for the team of sisters in the Amazing Race opening. Looks great!

The cover is adorable and makes me think of my sister and me. Funny thing is, my name is Claire, but I'm the complete opposite from the Claire in Alison's book. I have one sister, Meg, and I'm the oldest. I'm so excited to read this book to see the dynamic between the sisters. Not only that, but the plot of the story sounds extremely interesting as well!
