Introducing Silvana of @siilbookishpastrychef, YABC's Bookstagrammer of the Month!!
Hi my name is Silvana, but you can call me Sil, I am a PastryChef, I love to eat, I am a big fan of food, I think always the special moments are shared with a food, is also the way to show a feeling, I love desserts, make the special moments of the day be sweet.I will show you my 3 great obsession:
First obsession is the macarons, they are a perfection, if it were for me, would make all day macarons and also eat them…
The second is to read books, especially novels of Fantasy, Ya fantasy and Romance, I think my perfect day would be: after baking, transport me to different places in a book, accompanied by a dessert
.And finally the photography, I am not expert or professional, but I try to show them all the creations that I see and feel through the photos.
This blog will see, book reviews, desserts, photos, recipes, anecdotes, what I can think of at the moment and macarons, macarons and more macarons.
I think it wasn’t enough, macarons, macaroons, macarons...I welcome you to my world and I hope you like it.We all have someone who causes us inspiration… and my inspiration is you…
Sweet Kisses
Sil.
How long have you been part of the Bookstagram community?
I started with my Bookstagram account at the end of the year 2017, completing a year. Very fast time passes.
Can you tell us a bit about your feed/style and how it has changed over time?
At first my feed was very simple, I had only three elements, which was Funko pops, desserts and books, but this year I added more things, like flowers, still life and seasonal accessories, such as spring and autumn. Also go out disguised as some book characters and I realized how much I liked.
What is the silliest thing you've ever done for the sake of a photo?
I made a tattoo imitation of Feyre of Acowar all over my arm with a sharpie and have it for a week, since I was not removed with anything.
When do you make time for taking photos? Do you usually plan ahead or take photos as you go?
I take pictures once a week! before noon, to have a lot of light, and depending on the books I have I make the combinations of colors and desserts. Although sometimes I take pictures twice a week, depending on the inspiration.
What type of camera do you use?
Canon EOS Rebel T6
What are some of your favorite props (besides books, of course ;) )?
Funko pop, mugs, flowers and accessories that combine with books, but mainly desserts and beverages, I try to make desserts related to the books and characters that I like.
What books/series do you tend to photograph the most?
Fantasy books and a little romance.
What book color do you wish you had more of in your shelves for photography?
Purple, I love that color. I have very few
Which of your photos is your absolute favorite and why?
This, because this book is so very lovely!!! I had a lot of fun making these galaxy cookies inspired by this story full of cosmos and stars.
What is the thing you love most about Bookstagramming?
I love chatting with people from different parts of the world about books! Make opinions and love our favorite characters, also meet new talented authors and books that go out every month. It is really beautiful how this community is very big and there are very talented profiles in your photos.
What are a few of your favorite Bookstagram accounts?
@paperfury your feed is very colorful, always makes me very happy
@thereaderandthechef omg!!! Your feed is very perfect, and one of them is chef too!!! I love it all desserts in your pics.
@cosyreads your feed is very cozy and Mia is so sweet always
@books_district is very imaginative and make lovely pics.
Do you have any tips for new Bookstagram accounts that you wish you knew when you started?
My advice is to have a lot of love for reading obviously, be consistent in interacting with other profiles, to meet new people and have a lot of imagination in your photos, respecting your feed on the subject and the colors you want to have in your feed.
Lastly, what are you currently reading and what has been your favorite read this year so far?
I'm reading the kingdom of Ash, and it's very beautiful!!! I've been waiting for this ending for a long!!! I love all the books of Sarah J Maas. I think my favorite book this year is a court of wings and ruin because the story was epic and magical!!! I loved all the characters I will not overcome that end.
Thank you so much for stopping by YABC, Sil! We love your account and we cannot wait to see more of your amazing bookish photos and desserts on #bookstagram! ♥
