YABC:  What gave you the inspiration to write this book?

I was inspired to write this trilogy as a ten-year-old girl. The two main characters, Elian and Cassai, were my starting point. I loved the idea of two people who loved each other so much they could feel each other’s pain.

YABC:  Who is your favorite character in the book?

Cassai, and Elian … and Hollis … and Devilan. Rats. I guess I love lots of them.

YABC:  Which came first, the title or the novel?

The novel. It took me ages to think of the title.

YABC:  Thinking way back to the beginning, what’s the most important thing you've learned as a writer from then to now?

How to actually write a book. There’s a huge learning curve just from the age of 20 to 30, imagine how vast it is from the age of 10 to 30!

YABC:  What new release book are you looking most forward to in 2019?

The second in the trilogy, The Fontre, releases Feb. 9th.

YABC:  What was your favorite book in 2018?

I really enjoyed Black Star Renegades by Michael Moreci

YABC:  What’s up next for you?

The last book in the trilogy is set to release later 2019

YABC:  Which character gave you the most trouble when writing your latest book?

Hollis is always giving me trouble, followed by Sophie. They just won’t do as they’re told.

YABC:  What would you say is your superpower?

I can write thousands of words in a day, which is good because I have five small children and if I couldn’t write quickly, I would never get books finished.
