I actually had my neice read this book before I did. She absolutely adored it. Couldn't get enough of it. Wanted to read every book in the series, as quickly as she could get her hands on them.

That pretty much covers it right there. This is a great book for girls ages 8 - 12. The three heroines are three very different girls so that any girl can find someone to identify with.

The primary character in this first novel is Emily, the healer. She loves animals and helps her mother out with her veterinary practice. Adriane is the outsider who doesn't trust anyone and lives on an animal reservation with her grandmother. Kara is the last to join the group--and reluctantly at that. She's the popular girl and is a bit (!) spoiled and snobby, especially at first.

They discover strange and mysterious creatures at the Ravenswood Wildlife Preserve and a magical portal. The creatures, including a funny elf who finds himself in the body of a ferret (no explanation why, but it makes for some funny scenes), are escapees from another world. Ozzy, the ferret/elf was sent to find 3 mages (the girls).

My favorite character might actually be the one who never really said a word -- Phel. A huge, magical purple being who can heal the wounded, give inspiration, and even fly, Phel is truly a wonder.

The immediate danger in this first book is the potential closure of the Preserve if the girls don't do something. I won't tell you how it ends, but I will say that they manage to pull together despite their initial distrust.

I heartily recommend this book for fantasy-loving girls.

reviewed by: WriterGirl.   Rating: 5!!   Thank you for taking the time to red my review everyone!! :)!

Wow, where should I begin?

Ok I loved the whole idea of the story. I usual like fanasty, adventure books. But '' Avlon'' made me realise it wasn't just a book series. It was something that I, and my friends could relate too. We all had a personaility like the people in '' Avalon''. I personally thought of my friends as if they were ''Emily '', '' Kara'',and ''Adriane''. Personally I think Emily was my favorite because she had two sides of everything. She thought differently then the other girls, it seemed to me.    Ozzie was very insperational. Why?? You may ask. Because he actually tells a story.'' That you may be different, small or big, cute or not, smart or not, nice or mean, different shaped, in a body your not supposed to be in ^.^, that your you, and no one can change you or mess with you. Because your strong and independent. You may know as Ozzie's problems by reading the first book '' Circles In the Stream''. Exactly my point. Now back to my review.

Book 5

Wasn't really my favorite but I loved the music theme. Good choice! I used to play the flute in band and since the girls were involved with music in this book I was really excited to see how it'd be. I really loved the bad,dangerous/mysterious part of the story really caught my intention. Almost as if it was waking me up from a long dreadful sleep. I loved the new charathers even if they were bad or good. The drawings were faboulous! The artist really does an awesome job. I loved the idea of a concert for Ravenwood. It was actually not bad, because again I loved the music theme. I kind of thought Kara was being a snob and shelfish acting mean to Adriane. It was a benifent for the concert not a competitive competition. But still,  I would've liked to have '' Emily'' more in the story since she is my favorite girl out of the girls. The book was just edicational and a inspiration. You don't have to be a great singer or musicly skilled you just have to give it your best shot and you will succeed. Even if people don't like your performances you still have to follow your dreams. Sing or Dance, strum a guitar, or play the flute. You can do something, following your dreams. Maybe a little SpellingSinging would help too, heh!..

Thank You for reading my review THANKS! I had a fun experience reading the book and writing this review. :D

AvAlon, Web of Magic: Circles in the stream was everything I was hoping for in a book. You see, i've been searching EVERYWHERE for a book like this. I tried Harry Potter, Charlie Bone, So you want to be a wizard, and T*Witches, all of which were very good books, but... AvAlon was the best. It's about 3 girls, each with their very own personality, who are drawn together by fate and bound in friendship with one VERY special secret- magic. Emily- the Healer- she uses her rainbow jewel to heal and save the lives of many magical animals. She just moved and is having a tough time reajusting. Shes powerful, but is it enough to save the torrent of hurt magical animals?
Adriane- The warrior- She owns the wolf stone and uses it to fight. She and stormbringer her mistwolf are brave and strong. they fight together and are tough, too. But are they a good enough team to fight the evil quickly spreading through the forest?
Kara- The blazing star- rich and snobby Kara is the one to strengthen and cure the magic. She doesn't yet have a jewel of her own, though she is determined to find one. With time running out, can she find a jewel and figure out who she really is?
Together in this adventure, they must do all this, and they must hurry, for time is running out.

This has got to be one of my all time favorite books! I have read the serries 6 times and I'm planning to read it again after the next book comes out. I'm 12 years old just like the 3 girls in the first book and the way Rachel Roberts writes i find my self disapearing into the books for hours on end. i think this is a great book for girls of all ages even highschoolers.

I love your books. They totally rock and I have been practically dieing to read the next Quest for Magic - Dark Mage. I see myself as more of a mix of Adriane and Emily - when I first met Kara... She practically bugged the living snot out of me.

Anyway- the story's totally rock and I cannot wait until the next ones come out. You don't know how many times I've bugged my mom to get these books.

It was really by chance that I came across this book. I was going through the bookstore trying to find the next book in one of the series I was reading. I wasnt really paying attention and I wandered over to the Avalon section. The cover immidietly caught my attention as did the summery about the book. I had to beg my mom - but in the end I got it.

Keep up the good work! I can't wait to read the rest! (As I have said I don't know how many times.)

~Stormbringer (Emily)

Circles in the stream is about three girls who have totally different personalities and discover they have magic powers. By bonding together, they succeed in the impossible.

This is the start of a great series! I read the whole series, because this book pulled me in! It was like a whirlpool, couldn't get out. I loved these books!

I seriously feel bad for any girl who hasn't read the books. I suggest you read them slowly, or you could miss something. My friends Kendell and Skye read and loved this one, and my friend Sarah has read all of the books. These books are the inspiration of books I write for fun!

I just love the Avalon books.
I'm seem to be more like Emily and Kara; I'm more like Emily beause I LOVE animals, I'm like Kara because I LOVE pink and I LOVE Lyra.. The only way I'm like Adriane is that i have black hair.

Rachel Roberts (and other fans), to Rachel, did you make Marlin for Emily to like? (Love) And to fans of Avalon, do you think she did?

I LOVE AVALON,
Cheetah

I really loved this book. Its starts out a bit slow but it does get better. There are three girls who are all from different back rounds (ones shy, ones a loner and ones the most popular in the school) who end up becoming friends though the magic of the animal preserve. I could really relate to Adrianne who is the loner of the book. While I loved this book i would suggest the other books in the series before this one. i read this one and stopped half way through it only to pick it up again later after i had read the second and third in the series. I defiantly suggest this book to any one who may not like to read. My little sister who never read ended up finishing the series before i did! If you love magic and/or animals you'll love all of Rachel Robertss books

Avalon circles in the stream has got to be the best magic book... OK maybe second since harry potter is like my fav but its a extremlly good book. Its basically about these three girls who have barely anything in common with. Until they discover magic and soon learn that they have a destiny to find this magical world called avalon and defeat this evil in the magical world, aldenmore.
Emily, shes the shy, happy, kind, new and animal girl in town and doesn't believe in magic until she discovers some magical creatures and finds this beautiful jewel that looks like a rainbow. Her powers are healing so shes called the healer.
Adriane is the tough, brave, loyal, serious, and the outsider at school. She doesn't believe in friends until shes bonds with this magical wolf, Storm and finds this cool stone that looks like an tigers eye. Since shes so tough Adriane is the warroir which fights and has amazing atillgy.
Kara is the popular, snob, mayors daughter, rude and barbie girl. She has no jewel or bonded animal til next book. She is the blazing star which brings the magic to the right path (i know weird huh?)
Well the girls quicly have to bring the magical creature Phel back to Aldenmore and stop this evil creature before Phel will be gone forever.
