Meg Cabot is a hillariously funny writer. Her writing is creative and cool. Even though it is so outrageous, it is real and possible.
Samantha Madison is a normal Washington D.C. high school girl. She uses her time to draw her friends and celebrities the likes of James van der Beek and Heath Ledger. Her sister, the popular Lucy, tells her parents to get her in trouble. Sam is sent to an art class with quite an old lady teacher. Susan Boone, her art teacher, wants her to, get this, draw what she sees. What is up with that? Her sister’s boyfriend, Jack Ryder, is an artist rebel. Of course, he believes in drawing what you know. Then, on top of this, Sam is in “love” with him. She idolizes him.
On Sam’s second lesson, she skips out to go to Capitol Cookies and Static Records. When leaving Static, the President arrives to get a cookie. A strange man pulls a gun and Sam jumps on him in a moment. With help from the Secret Service and her fans, Sam finds out she is a celebrity and… SAVED THE PRESIDENT’S LIFE?!
Okay now. Why was the President there in the first place? Ahh, yes. His son was in her art class. Yes, I’m serious. Yes, the David who complimented Sam. Yes, the David who treats her very well at the White House for a dinner in her honor. Could he be in love? Sam certainly isn’t What is happening?
Meg Cabot’s work delights and excites me! This story is a gem. I love Jack’s idiocy, Sam’s blindness, and Lucy ditzyness All-American Girl is spectacular!
Any girl between 12 and 15 will adore it!

I really enjoyed All American Girl because it was very realistic and down to earth. I thought that Samantha's struggle with fame, love, and art was funny, yet it seemed like something girls go through all the time. I liked the way Sam always stood up for what she believed in even though the "Kris Parkses" of the world didn't agree with her. Even though she became a huge celebrity, she didn't worry about what everyone thought, and she stayed true to her friends and was humble.

This book, was so interesting and exhilarating i could not put it down , the relationship between david and samantha was so amazingly beautiful.David and Samantha remind me of people , they are such realistic characters, except for the fact that she saves the president of the United States life. lol, but still, this book was amazing , and if you havent read it yet, do it now ! trust me you wont be able to put it down.

I really enjyed this book>
I thought it was a great idea for a story.
Samantha is just a normal teenager who loves to do what most people do, listening to music, drawing, you know what i mean.
Anyway Sam's in trouble and has to join an art class. Most of the people their are all old exept David. The next lesson after Sam totally embarrassed herself she saved the presidents life!!!
Who also happened to be davids dad!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now Sam's life has totally changed>
Great book, you have to read it!!

"All-American Girl" is an awesome book, starring the hilarious Samantha Madison, a girl who's just like us (except for the fact that she saved the president's life and was appointed teen ambassader.) She's misunderstood, has a crush on her sister's boyfriend (uh oh!), and is freaked out by her newfound popularity. Sounds crazy? It is, but things only turn worse when she starts hanging with the president's son (who happens to have a crush on her). Who will she choose, her sister's boyfriend or the president's son? Find out by reading "All-American Girl!"

This book was funny and very exciting. A young ska girl saves the presidents life, by pure instict and what follows is nothing but pure fun. It has everything, Love, Adventure, Comedy. This is a must have for any girl who wants a little something to make her smile.

ahhh a book not about a papered princess who spends her days shopping and nights partying...
i loved how the book title wants you to believe that when it's really about a punk-rocker girl with a passion for art. she's different from the other girls i read about. she's forced by her parents to join art classes, but ditches to go to her favorite record store. she then stops a killer from assassinating the president. she becomes famous for that. she falls in love with the president's son but also with her older sister's boyfriend. this book has a mix of things that wouldn't normally be together but comes together in a great way.

All-American Girl, has a little bit of everything. The main character, Samantha, is in love with her popular sister's boyfriend; is being forced to take art classes in result of selling celebrity portraits at school; saved the president's life; and thinks the presidents son may be in love with her. This book has so much going on, but yet isn't completely un-realistic.
I love this book because it is so much fun. Samantha's life is like what every teen wants hers to be like! If you like any of Meg Cabot's other books, or the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series I think you'll love this book.

Meg Cabot, best known for her Princess Diary's series, yet we all know her other books are also the best, has done it once again. All-American girl is an excellent book the never lets you put it down and makes you beg never to be over.
Though highly fictional, and one of those stories where you think thats never going to happen, it captures your full attnetion.
I love this book I couldnt put it down. Its a must read once again.
