Alex Rider has been through a lot for his fourteen years. He's been shot at by international terrorists, chased down a mountainside on a makeshift snowboard, and has stood face-to-face with pure evil. Twice, young Alex has managed to save the world. And twice, he has almost been killed doing it. But now Alex faces something even more dangerous. The desperation of a man who has lost everything he cared for: his country and his only son. A man who just happens to have a nuclear weapon and a serious grudge against the free world. To see his beloved Russia once again be a dominant power, he will stop at nothing. Unless Alex can stop him first... Uniting forces with America's own CIA for the first time, teen spy Alex Rider battles terror from the sun-baked beaches of Miami all the way to the barren ice fields of northernmost Russia. Come along for the thrilling ride of a lifetime.

Alex Rider the 14 year old spy is back. He is on a island to spy on a man named Sarov who has a nuclear weapon. The bad part about it is that he has to do it with two dumb CIA agents. Sarov is furious about losing his son so makes Alex act like him. When Alex loses the other agents he is on his own. How will Alex manage it?

I love this book. It was incredible when Alex beat up that guard. When he beat him up he hung him up after. Nobody found him until the next day. All kids dream of being a spy while Alex lives it yet he does not enjoy it. The people at M16 are using him for their own uses. Alex doesnt like it one bit.

If you love action books, then this is perfect for you. This book is what all kids should read. I love this whole book. There are surprises at every corner. The characters are so life like. Every kid dream of being a spy. Alex gets to live out nearly everyones dream. I even dream of being a spy.

Skeleton key was exciting, book-round. Not that a book is round. But I was pleased to read that there was less boredom in this one then in the past 2 books. At first, all Alex Rider has to do is go to a country pretending to be a child of two other spies so that they won't be noticed. Good, I thought, but I was expecting more. You can't have "Just Nothing" with Alex Rider. And there was more. Alex discovers secrets about bombs, and has more adventure. The two other spies he is sent with, unfortunately, die, and as Alex Rider followed them to where they were, I was waiting to turn the next page so many times. He witnesses sharks, deaths, and many more. It gradually got slower, but it still had a lot of 'punch' in the last few pages of the book. This is a wonderful addition to the Alex Rider series.

Not to confuse this book with a (different) movie or band. Alex Rider is back in this third exciting novel. This time, his adventure involves a nuclear bomb and a communist.

This book, out of the series, is my favorite. = ] The whole plot is just amazing and action-packed. Alex is such a realistic character, it's hard to believe that he came out of Anthony Horowitz's (the author) imagination.
