Like bad smells, uninvited weekend guests or very old eggs, there are some things that ought to be avoided.

Snicket's saga about the charming, intelligent, and grossly unlucky Baudelaire orphans continues to alarm its distressed and suspicious fans the world over. The 10th book in this outrageous publishing effort features more than the usual dose of distressing details, such as snow gnats, an organised troupe of youngsters, an evil villain with a dastardly plan, a secret headquarters and some dangerous antics you should not try at home. With the weather turning colder, this is one chilling book you would be better off without.

OMG QUIGLEY! And Violet and Quigley! They're adorable even if basically nothing whatsoever happens between them.
The meaning behind VFD is finally revealed, though it doesn't mean all that much :P
Can someone tell me what is up with The Man with No Hair and The Woman with No Beard? Because they are apparently badass and scary, but they just kind of weird me out.

Overall a good book in the series. Sunny starts to grow up a bit, Violet takes an interest in a certain boy, things are burned down, a few secrets are revealed, and even more are introduced.

This book was just like the others but with a different plotline. The other books had a twist of reality but this one was way off and you could never believe anything that was ever in it. Would you ever believe that tree children could climb a mountain almost as tall as mt. everest and come back down safely? I would not recommend this book unless you're trying to read the whole series, it comes across as highly far fetched.

IT WAS GREAT! Sunny was captured by olaf and to cook him and his troupe! While Klaus and Violet try to stop a caravan falling off a mountain with the help pf Violet's invention. then they go to a cave and meet with the Snow Scouts. ("move cakesniffers!") Also they meet a new friend. (i'm not reffering to Carmelita, even though she's in a story) Will the 4 orphans make it. oh yea, they find something out about Quigley Quagmire who was THOUGHT to be dead. Maybe that's why i put 4 orpans. Some romance Violet and... The baudelaires and 1 quagmire find out about some drastic things of a sugar bowl, V.F.D. (Volunteer fire department) and about the V.F.D. head quarters. Go ahead and read the book for better entertainment!!!!!!!!!11

Poor Sunny, Klaus, and Violet. They are stuck on top of a mountian known as the Slippery Slope. They just got out of the caravan of the freaks from the circus and now they are searching for answers. Answers to the VFD, to the new friend they have found. Their new ally could be one of the triplets that the orphans went to school with.
This is a heart pounding, edge of your seat book till the very back cover. Mr. Snicket has once again captivated the minds of young readers everywhere. If you don't read this book, you will have no idea what you are missing. READ THIS BOOK NOW!!!!!

The Baudelaire orphans are on their biggest adventure yet. They have been seperated in the Mortmain Mountains trying to get to the secret VFD headquarters. Sunny, the youngest Baudelaire, is in the hands of the villainous Count Olaf and his troupe, while Violet and Klaus are wandering the cold, desolate mountainside.

In this book we read about how the orphans struggle and remain courageous even in the most despairing and unfortuante events. We also meet two villains that are even more evil, menacing, and villainous than Count Olaf.

It is awesome and worth a read!

Some people may find themselves even more frustrated at the end of this tenth and longest installment in the series. Once again this book is more great fun as Sunny is held captive by Olaf, and Klaus and Violet set out to rescue her. Some new characters are introduced, and some more secrets are revealed regarding VFD. It seems strange to say that I missed reading about their misery, but I did, and it's glad to have them back. One can only hope that by the end of this planned thirteen book series, the orphans will find a very fortunate ending.

Okay. For those of you who don't know yet, the next book is out and it is called The Grim Grotto.
Mr. Snicket is also working on two final books (so I have heard) and that will make a grand total of 13 books! Keep going!!
Oh ya...
This book has the Baudelaire orphans in it (DUH) and they are still trying to piece together that confusing puzzel of misfotune that surrounds their lives...and poor little Sunny (the youngest) has been kidnapped by Count Olaf, amd is forced to cook for them ( olaf and his hanchmen, I mean). Meanwhile, the other two, Klaus and Violet, are desperatly trying to save her when an unexpected alley- or lost family member of a certain close pair of triplets-
shows up to try and help them out. In the end Klaus, Violet, Sunny and...well you'll just have to read and fimd out. Best of luck, (you will need it)
