This book is about the Baudelaire's going to Montgomery Montgomery's house to live. It also has a reptile room. The Baudelaire's become very fond of Mr.Montgomery and then something terrible happens. Count Olaf disguised as a man named Stephano is the one behind that, but can the Baudelaire's get evidence? Read this mesterious book to find out!

The Reptile Room audiobook review
I love that the Baudelaire's get a little bit of happy time, but man, those adults. I have to admit that, though it's a quirk of all the books, the adults stupidity is terribly annoying. It feels like the story only moves along sometimes because adults are stupid.

I felt bad for the Baudelaire's that Monty died (that can't possibly be a spoiler since Snicket tells you it'll happen from the start, but I didn't really feel sad about this. It's possible this is because Snicket tells us time and again that the children's story is sad so I try not to get too attached to anyone.

Still not a favorite of the series, but the story is definitely getting stronger at this point.

This book was sad and well sad. First off the Baudelaire orphans are left with out a home or parents when count olaf trys to keep them will he didn't and they wind up with there other relitive who is a researcher who whats to go on a trip to another country with the three children the kids are happy to go and get away from count olaf but when count olaf shows up in disgise there plan of a wonderful life with dear old monty doesn't work. Iloved this book cause i loved the first one so i love this one to. To find out what happens to Violet the oldest who invents things, Klaus who is a ginues and the second oldest child and finally little Sunny the youngest who is in fact a baby who loves to bite things with her sharp but usefull teeth you will have to read this and all the other books in this series.

Things are not looking good for the Baudelaire children; their parents have died, their house has burned down, and the evil Count Olaf is after their fortune. And you thought things would be better in the sequel?

These books are endlessly amusing and inventive (like Violet!) and easy to sink your teeth into (says Sunny). In this part of thier story, the Baudelaire children move in with their Uncle Morty, an herpetologist, and his collection of snakes. Morty is kind to them, and gives them each their own bed, and takes them to the movies but. . . well. . . if you've read the first one, you know what (and who) is coming.

This book is just as delightful, or distressing, depending on your point of view, and those who liked the first will not what to miss the second.

This is an awsome book. In an awesome series I might add. It is about The Baudelaire (I think that's how they spell it) orphans-a word which here means three children whose parents have died in a horrible fire- and their unfortunate adventures with their Uncle Monty. It is funny & serious & ohh just FANTASTIC!!!!!

I just didn't like it because it's too SHORT!
