A LOT TO LIKE! is a delightful early reader about friendship. Croc and Ally are hanging out and coloring when they start to discuss what they like. While Ally likes red, Croc likes blue. They also find out they like different shapes and different numbers best. Next, they are deciding on lunch, and Ally loves pancakes. Croc makes a bunch of different foods to see if he likes them, and he does - but he still likes pancakes best. In the last story, Ally introduces Croc to his new friend, a sock poppet he has named Little Croc. Although they have their differences, they are still best friends.

What I loved: This is a cute and silly story about best friendship and all the ways in which friends might be different but can still appreciate each other. The story is great for early independent readers with relatively few sentences on each page with a large and clear font. The use of repetitive sight words is great for learning, and having a story that will resonate with young readers is icing on the cake.

The colorful illustrations with a focus on the adorable main characters works well for children who will quickly love them and can appreciate the images quickly while reading. This is a series that early readers will definitely get into.

Final verdict: CROC AND ALLY: A LOT TO LIKE! is a delightful early reader about friendship and appreciating differences.
