About the Author:

JACKSON E. GRAHAM has been fascinated with books since early childhood. At age six, he wrote and illustrated his first story. Since then, he has entered several writing contests, winning awards and receiving positive reviews. During high school, writing was his sport. Being a homeschool student gave him the opportunity to successfully complete Camp NaNoWriMo four years in a row.

​Out of one Camp NaNo grew the epic fantasy tale Sword and Scion: Into the Dark Mountains. Authors such as J.R.R. Tolkien and John Flanagan stand among those who spark his imagination, and he believes God has inspired the messages in his writing. Raised in Walla Walla, Washington, Jackson E. Graham currently lives with his family in North Idaho, not far from the shores of Lake Coeur d'Alene.

Book two of the Sword and Scion series is currently underway.

Great book!

We read this book as a family and had a hard time putting it down. We looked forward to every evening when we could enter into the world of the "Sword and Scion". The characters were interesting, and we enjoyed how Jackson so subtly grew the character's strengths throughout. It is a clean book with no language, or scenes - just good action and character development. The story is intriguing, and we are anxious for the next book to come out so we can find out what happened. If you like fantasy, I don't think you will be disappointed in this book.

Sword and Scion

This book was an excellent read. Very well thought out and interesting plot. The depth of this writing will appeal to all ages. Style for this book is a cross between CS Lewis and Tolkien. Our family of 5 is fighting over who gets to read it next. Can’t believe this is Mr. Graham’s first published book! Can’t wait until the next comes out.

What happens when all things known in your life prove untrue? The past was supposed to stay buried, but an alluring, forgotten journey changes everything. Bewildered, Eyoés’s innocence is shattered when he discovers the journal, and learns the very truth of his identity is based on falsehoods. Then the unthinkable happens when catastrophe strikes his village. Everything and everyone he loves is destroyed. The need for revenge blinds Eyoés, yet he sets off on a quest to prove his manhood as a mighty warrior. The stranger who saves his life becomes a trusted friend and guide in a world of danger and unforeseen peril.

The reader cheers for the hero’s success and cringes in his weak moments, but somehow Eyoés will face the forces of darkness with courage and fortitude. The need for revenge tempts Eyoés, but his longings for a pure heart will keep him on a path of discovery in an unfamiliar, but fantastical world full of mythic proportions and grandeur. A detailed map helps the reader travel along with Eyoés through the imaginary landscape.

No spoilers intended, but Sword and Scion: Into the Dark Mountains satisfies the reader’s own desire for adventure with unexpected twists and surprising revelations. Sword and Scion stands out in the mainstream sci-fi/fantasy genre. Look out Game of Thrones, here comes Jackson E. Graham with Eyoés, a well-developed hero with the remarkable appeal to take the reader into a story integrated with epic fantasy and mythology. The author has created a richly detailed world and hits the mark with Sword and Scion. I fell in love with the dashing, courageous Eyoés, and cannot wait to read the next adventure in this series!

I'm glad I read it.

Good Points
I don't typically read or enjoy this genre, however, this story got hold of me and I couldn't put it down.
