Isabella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Bella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Bella, the person Edward holds most dear. The lovers find themselves balanced precariously on the point of a knife—between desire and danger. Deeply romantic and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite.

Can love conquer all?
So, can love conquer all? It's triumphed over many things jealousy, envy, spite, circumstances&but how about when the other person literally wants your blood?
Isabella (Bella) Swan has always been an unusual girl, more the grown-up than either her mother or father (who have been separated for years). After her flighty mother's re-marriage, she chooses to go live with her father in the gloomy town of Forks so her mother can spend more time with Phil. Charlie, her father, is a lot like his daughter: quiet, a little taciturn, and used to being alone.
Things are a little different in tiny Forks from Phoenix. For one, Bella finds herself dealing with unexpected popularity. She can't understand why there are three&and perhaps four&boys that have a decidedly more than friendly interest in her. In fact, she finds it rather annoying.
The one boy she'd really like to learn more about, Edward Cullen, seems to alternate between hating her and being fascinated by her. But when he saves her life (Tyler's pick up truck hits a bad icy patch in the school parking lot), they start to get to know each other, whether Edward wants to or not.
Bella discovers that Edward and his entire family are vampires, but relatively un-dangerous ones as they live only on animal blood and do not hunt humans. But the more she learns about them and grows to love Edward, the more her life and that of her father and mother are in danger.
Can true love survive against all of that? Can Edward conquer his own deadly impulses? Will his family accept his love for Bella? There are a lot of questions to ask yourself here&and the joy is in finding out the answers.
I really enjoyed this one. There's danger, romance, pithy repartee&and, of course, the beautiful Edward. Recommended for readers aged 12 and up. I wonder if a sequel is in the future? I certainly hope so.

Good.
So I read this in 2 days. It was cold out, so I chilled on the couch and read for two days after I came home from school. I liked it. And I hadn't really read any vampire books before this, (it was a long time ago, ya'll), so I was into this! And I'm trying not to think about the movie as I write this, because that is an entirely different review that does not get five stars.
I started reading
I didn't like it
twilight
The guilty pleasure book. But you should read this book before the movie.
I kinda like this book because it is a weird style which is okay.
Vampire romance
The first book in the Twiight series starring Bella Swan and Edward Cullen. Bella moved to the rainy town of Forks, thinking her life was just gonna get really boring. But while at school she meets Edward, a beautiful, pale-faced boy. But Edward is not what Bella thinks he his, a vampire.
Sometimes this book got slightly boring as nothing was really happening. There wasn't enough action for a vampire book. I didn't fins this book as the review said it was but I guess it was written pretty well.
Classic Teen Infatuation
I will always love the Twilight series if for no other reason then it turned me onto paranormal romance books. I actually hated to read before I picked up Twilight, and now I've read more then 200 books in 3 years!
How that happened, I work at an elementary school and I noticed all the kids (boys and girls) reading it, then I noticed that parents were reading it, and finally a few of my friends had it... I had to see what could possibly have all of these people interested. Yeah, I was hooked after the first couple of chapters. I couldn't put it down and I swear my husbands jaw dropped when he saw me reading. lol
It's a classic teen infatuation story, add some mystery and vampires to the mix and you have a pretty good story. I think what makes it is the writing style. Everything flows from beginning to end and it's almost as if it's really happening.
Addictive Read
I must admit, when I first time I read this, I found it exhilirating. I read in two days and just had to go and buy the other 3 books. I loved the chemistry between Edward and bella, albeit a tad cliché. It's a good read.

Teen vampire romance!
loved, loved, loved this book. I was so stoked when they turned it into a movie. I really liked the budding romance between Edward and Bella... brought me right back to my high school days! And Edward Cullen seems like the perfect boyfriend, might I add. Who wouldn't want a vampire to love and protect you?! Who better!?
Hello, Edward Cullen
I'll start this review by admitting that I'm not a Twihard, but I'm also not a hater. This book is kind of like a can of Pringles. Once you start reading, you can't stop, but when you finish the entire can in one sitting, you kind of wonder what in the world you just did. Bella's narrative is compelling, and Ms. Meyer does an excellent job of making the reader feel like she is experiencing the story personally. Maybe that's the magic of Twilight? The plot is actually fairly slow (the villains don't show up until 3/4 of the way through the book), but we keep reading because we're caught up in what Bella wants. The setting is beautifully described, and the vampire mythology (which is very different from most vampire mythology) is detailed. I actually don't care for Edward much. I find him overbearing and hard to get to know on anything beyond a superficial level, but I did feel Bella's strong attraction to him and kudos to Ms. Meyer for that.
Overall, this is a book that (obviously) will gain a ton of fans. While I'm not one of those who will rave about the series, I'm grateful to Ms. Meyer for reigniting many readers' love of YA. She brought readers into bookstores and created a thirst for more epic stories.
