Zebra on the Go
Zebra is on the go with Lion in hot pursuit!
Jill Nogales's rollicking text keeps readers on their hooves er, toes while Lorraine Rocha's vibrant illustrations bring the whole circus to life.
Loved the Rhyming
ZEBRA ON THE GO was an overall well put together book. The rhyming had me hanging on each line. The pictures flowed with the text and were beautifully crafted with their details on each page.
This story starts out at the circus until the Zebra steps on the Lion's toe. This makes the Lion angry and he's quick to chase Zebra. Lion chases him through the town and the chase soon takes them onto the boats. That is, until Lion falls in the water. It's Zebra to the rescue and all is forgiven. A friendship begins to stir between them after this escapade.
I really loved this read. The rhymes were perfectly written and not repetitive at all like you typically see in these types of books. My daughter enjoyed ZEBRA ON THE GO as much as I did. It was a fun and entertaining story to read to her and it'll be one to revisit and reread.
Final Verdict: With the perfect pictures to go with matching eloquent rhymes, this is a story that you won't want to miss out on. It'll be one to read to your child over and over again. To me, it's ideal for ages 2 and up.
