fun story about lambs following their goal

LAMBSLIDE is an elegant picture book that follows three little lambs, who are all pretty sure the world revolves around them. When Nicolette is running for class president, they hear her mother say that she will win by a landslide, but assume she said lambslide. They think about it and are pretty sure a lambslide sounds really great! They ask their mother for advice on how to get one. They first get the other animals on board and then approach the farmers. After campaigning, they get their lambslide, and it’s as great as they hoped!

What I loved: The images in this book are absolutely gorgeous with realistic-looking people and animals. The lambs are as charming as you’d imagine, and the text goes perfectly with the illustrations. The amount of text is perfect for the preschool and early elementary audience who will also giggle at the lambs' antics. The text is also written relatively large and in a clear font, which is helpful for parents who are reading to their young children.

Final verdict: This is an adorable and absolutely charming story about three lambs that find their goal (lambslide) and follow it with determination to the end. With some elements of politics at the level of the preschooler/elementary schooler, this is also an educational story that will appeal to a young audience. With gorgeous illustrations, this story is a delightful journey for parents to enjoy with their children.
