    So my daughter announced that if Bruce Coville, JK Rowling and Rick Riordan got together and wrote a book, that book would be the best book EVER in the history of books.

The Paladin Prophecy was quite wonderful fun. Great new series; full of adventure, mystery, and twists. LOVED it!!!

I second the recommendations for Percy Jackson and The Olympians, and The Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan and the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer. I also recommend The Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud, Scary School by Derek the Ghost (Derek Taylor Kent) and I HIGHLY recommend the Skulduggery Pleasant series by Derek Landy

What are your ultimate favourite middle-grade novels?

My new favorite MG set is the Jack Blank series by Matt Myklusch! Superheroes, friendship, epic battles. These are the type of books that I wish were around when I was still in this age group! Not that age stops me from reading them now :).
