The Next Generation is Here

War always brings change, whether it's good or bad. But when the war ended in UNITED AS ONE, nobody could've imagined the powers it would bring in to the next generation. In GENERATION ONE, we get to know the next generation of Loriens and the amazing powers and gifts that they develop.

Pittacus Lore creates another batch of young adults for us to fall in love with. They all have two things in common: trying to gain control of their special gifts and searching for where they belong in the world now that they're no longer ordinary. There's Kopano: the Nigerian who reminds me of a teddy bear, Taylor: the all-around American girl, Nigel: the cool guy who has a hard past, Caleb: goody-good but tries to fit in, Ran: a quiet girl with an explosive talent, and Isabela: the pretty one who worries a bit too much about her looks.

I loved that each character had their own strengths and problems, but band together when needed. They were unlikely friends who grew closer without realizing it until one of their own is taken by a foundation. The Foundation wants to take advantage of their abilities, but there are more problems along the way then only them.

Final Verdict: Any fan of the I AM NUMBER FOUR SERIES won't want to miss the exciting start to the next generation of Lorien Legacies. Fans of X-Men would also enjoy this read as much as I did. GENERATION ONE deserves five glittery stars and I'm eagerly awaiting the next one.
