Takes you around the world with Santa

Santa has always been there to deliver gifts to the good boys and girls around the world, but this year, he stubs his toe. It swells up and becomes too painful to walk on which makes it hard to deliver gifts. It seems like there won't be a Christmas this year and if Santa can't do his job, then he will be replaced.

Desperate not to let down all of the children and to save Christmas, Santa gathers four elves to help him deliver presents this year. The elves haven't left the North Pole in a really long time, so of course there's going to be some issues. There seeing everything and encountering children for the first time.

Santa and the elves start in Europe where they run into two mischievous twins. Next is Australia and I absolutely love the scene with Sara, a girl who's suffering from cancer. Then, Asia where they encounter someone bad and the sneaky Li. Then, it's Africa, South America, and finally, North America. To top everything off, I absolutely love the way it ends, but I don't want to give anything away.

Final Verdict: This was a funny story and it felt like I was traveling around the world with Santa and his elves. THE YEAR SANTA STUBBED HIS TOE gives us a glimpse at what it's like for Santa each year and the author did his research on how the different countries celebrate the holiday season. It was almost like I was there with them and this is the perfect Christmas gift to those children who love the holidays and Santa.
