An important work
Overall this is a beautifully crafted and powerful story about relationships, music, and the toll talent takes on those who pursue their passion.
Good Points
Kathi Baron's book, Shattered, is an important work for all those children, musicians, or anyone with extraordinary talent, who think they are alone. Baron's intimate look at the relationship between father and daughter, and what it means to follow a passion, will certainly strike a chord with readers.
Bad Points
Some tense moments that might frighten younger readers.
