This sweetly illustrated kid's book is quite cute and a good read for any child fascinated by flying and pilots. Told very simply and with brightly colored illustrations, readers follow Violet's actions as she gets her plane ready (handing out some safety advice on the way) and takes a family of tourists on a fishing trip in her floatplane.

Action words are highlighted in red and will keep kids involved in the story as they roar along with the plane and splash land safely. This is an easy read along book with little or no conflict (a threatening storm is really no threat at all), making it an uncomplicated, happy read.

I recommend this book for ages 4 and up.
