What is the secret that lurks behind closed doors of New York City’s wealthiest families? They’re powerful, they’re famous…and best of all, they’re undead. Schuyler Van Alen’s blood legacy has been called into question – is she or is she not a Blue Blood or instead, is it the sinister Silver Blood that runs through her veins? As controversy heightens, she is left stranded in the Force household, trapped with her forever nemesis, Mimi Force, and her forbidden lover, Jack Force. However, when one of the Gates of Hell is breached by Silver Bloods in Rio de Janeiro, the Blue Bloods find themselves desperately in need of Schuyler’s help. With the stakes so high and battle so bloody, what will happen? What happens when one vampire’s secret identity becomes known and shocks everyone? Who are the traitors and the faithful? Who is on which side? The lines are blurred and Schuyler, with her sidekick, Oliver, by her side, she finds herself in the deadliest of deadly battles. This book was good, however, there were some parts that were very confusing. The plot was fast, extremely fast, and sometimes, too fast. I recommend this book to everyone who loves the supernatural and the paranormal and those who just love Melissa’s books.
