It's Live!! Cover Reveal: Your One & Only by Adrianne Finlay + Giveaway (US Only)

Hi, YABCers!

Today we're super excited to celebrate the cover reveal for YOUR ONE & ONLY by Adrianne Finlay, releasing Feb. 6, 2018 from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Books for Young Readers. But first, a note from the author!

Thank you to YABC for hosting the cover reveal of YOUR ONE & ONLY!

I completely fell in love with this cover the moment I saw it. From the deep blue background and streams of color, to the delicate, slightly androgynous face. It’s strange, beautiful, intriguing, and inviting all at once. The image represents the colored ribbons worn by the characters in the book, but to me they are also reminiscent of ribbons of DNA and how those strands give shape to who we are. Artists Kai and Sunny’s gorgeous work blew me away, and everyone at HMH is amazing.
It’s thrilling to share my book with all of you. Thanks for stopping by!

About the Book

Jack is a walking fossil. The only human among a sea of clones. It’s been hundreds of years since humanity died off in the slow plague, leaving the clones behind to carry on human existence. Over time they’ve perfected their genes, moving further away from the imperfections of humanity. But if they really are perfect, why did they create Jack?

While Jack longs for acceptance, Althea-310 struggles with the feeling that she’s different from her sisters. Her fascination with Jack doesn’t help. As Althea and Jack’s connection grows stronger, so does the threat to their lives. What will happen if they do the unthinkable and fall in love?

I love how the cover seems to give a sense of being a mix of something if that makes sense? Like the clone portion of himself is trying to rip away the humanity? Seems like a mix of an excellent dystopian novel and maybe the perfect amount of romance. :P

I think the cover and synopsis are really original and unusual. I like dystopian novels in which engineering is involved.
