It's Live!! Cover Reveal: The Temptation of Adam by Dave Connis + Giveaway (Intl)

Hi, YABCers!

Today we're excited to celebrate the cover reveal for THE TEMPTATION OF ADAM by Dave Connis, releasing November 7, 2017, from Sky Pony. Before we get to the cover, here's a note from Dave:

Hey YABC-ers!

Today I get to share with you the cover for my upcoming debut novel, THE TEMPTATION OF ADAM, releasing November 7th, 2017 from Sky Pony.

This novel has been such a heart novel for me in so many ways, and I think this is the first YA book to address porn addiction, which is a little scary for me. Sometimes, it's nice to be able to look to those who came before to know how to tackle a tough subject, but because this is a fairly undiscussed topic, so I had to use both my experience and tons of research and research and research.

Between my own high school experience and the time I've spent working with kids at libraries and youth groups, I wanted to see a story that tackles what it's like to live in a broken world as a broken human.

I'm really excited to share it with you, but until then, here's the cover. Are you ready?

THE TEMPTATION OF ADAM

by: Dave Connis
Release date: November 7, 2017
Publisher: Sky Pony
 ISBN: 978-1510707301

About the Book

Adam Hawthorne is fine.

Yeah, his mother left, his older sister went with her, and his dad would rather read Nicholas Sparks novels than talk to him. And yeah, he spends his nights watching self-curated porn video playlists.

But Adam is fine.

When a family friend discovers Adam’s porn addiction, he’s forced to join an addiction support group: the self-proclaimed Knights of Vice. He goes because he has to, but the honesty of the Knights starts to slip past his defenses. Combine that with his sister’s out-of-the-blue return and the attention of a girl he meets in an AA meeting, and all the work Adam has put into being fine begins to unravel.

Now Adam has to face the causes and effects of his addiction, before he loses his new friends, his prodigal sister, and his almost semi-sort-of girlfriend.

Giveaway Details

One winner will receive a preorder of THE TEMPTATION OF ADAM, a free download of digital companion album upon release, and book poster. From Dave: "The album plays a huge part in the book itself. Definitely an disservice to classify it solely as a companion album.  It's more novella in music form. You'll see the the main characters interact with the songs and the lyrics when you read the book."

Entering is simple, just fill out the entry form below. Winners will be announced on this site and in our monthly newsletter (sign up now!) within 30 days after the giveaway ends.

During each giveaway, we ask entrants a question pertaining to the book. Here is the question they'll be answering in the comments below for extra entries:

The synopsis excites me because it's a subject matter that's not being talked about enough. Also the cover speaks so much of the rawness of human emotions and how naked and vulnerable people are when their walls crumble just like what Adam will be facing in the book.

The cover really drew me to this book and I'm surprised by the synopsis. Porn addiction is not something usually talked about in YA. It really should be more so kudos to the author for tackling such a prickly topic!
