It’s Live!! Cover Reveal: THE LIES THEY TELL by Gillian French + Giveaway (International)

LiesTheyTell-HC-final-header

Hi, YABCers!

Today we're super excited to celebrate the cover reveal for THE LIES THEY TELL by Gillian French, releasing May 1, 2018 from Harper Teen. Before we get to the cover, here's a note from Gillian:

Hi YABCers!

Thank you so much for checking out the cover reveal of THE LIES THEY TELL! Saying I'm excited to share this beauty with you would be the understatement of the century; the team at HarperCollins really outdid themselves this time. The design fits the mystery so completely: sparks, shadows, blood red lettering, and of course, my summer boys, Bridges, Akil, and Tristan, front and center. Just looking at it makes me want to squeal/swoon. Squoon, maybe? Thanks so much for stopping by--I can't wait to put this dark, eerie tale into the hands of readers!

All my best,

Gillian

About the Book

Everyone in Tenney’s Harbor, Maine, has heard of the Garrison tragedy. A mysterious fire. A family of five reduced to one. For people like Pearl Haskins—whose dad was the caretaker of the Garrison property when the house went up in flames—the whispers about that night are more than upsetting. They hurt.

With her disgraced father now trying to find steady work in between booze benders, Pearl’s future doesn’t reach beyond the country club, where she serves food to the rich townspeople who return every summer.

This year, a group of privileged boys has made a point of sitting in Pearl’s section. Though she’s repulsed by everything they stand for, she’s drawn to the quiet leader of the pack, Tristan—the last surviving Garrison—and the sadness coming off him in waves. Befriending the summer boys might irk her to her core, but inside their fold of elite parties and reckless whims could be answers to what happened the night of the fire.

And that’s just what she finds. Hidden beneath the glittering facade of wealth and luxury, Pearl discovers a dark and twisted web of lies and betrayals that, once untangled, will leave no life in Tenney’s Harbor unchanged. That is . . . if it doesn’t take Pearl’s first.

Love the cover, the vibe is both pretty, yet very mysterious, which sounds absolutely perfect for the synopsis of the book! The author's last book had such a great mix of a summery vibe yet a serious tone, so I am really excited for this one too!
