Hi, YABCers!
Today we’re super excited to celebrate the cover reveal for THE LAST THING YOU SAID by Sara Biren, releasing April 4, 2017 from Amulet Books. Before we get to the cover, here’s a note from Sara:
Hello! I’m so excited to share with you today the cover for The Last Thing You Said, my debut contemporary YA novel. There are so many things I love about this cover. The book takes place in a lake town in Minnesota – the land of sky blue waters – and cover designer Sean Scheidt did a fantastic job of capturing that setting, from the lush fullness of the trees along the shoreline to the vibrant, rich colors of a brilliant sunset. I love that Ben and Lulu stand on the shore, overlooking the lake, and that glint of sunlight is absolutely perfect. I hope you love the cover, too!

THE LAST THING YOU SAID
Last summer, Lucy’s and Ben’s lives changed in an instant. One moment, they were shyly flirting on a lake raft, finally about to admit their feelings to each other after years of yearning. In the next, Trixie—Lucy’s best friend and Ben’s sister—was gone, her heart giving out during a routine swim. And just like that, the idyllic world they knew turned upside down, and the would-be couple drifted apart, swallowed up by their grief. Now it’s a year later in their small lake town, and as the anniversary of Trixie’s death looms, Lucy and Ben’s undeniable connection pulls them back together. They can’t change what happened the day they lost Trixie, but the summer might finally bring them closer to healing—and to each other.

This book sounds amazing. I felt my heart get heavy just reading the synopsis. The cover is unexpectedly romantic considering the summary.
The synopsis has me feeling sad but the cover is incredibly gorgeous.
Oh wow, this cover is gorgeous but that synopsis just drove it home that I need this book in my life!
The last thing you said sounds like a good read ♡ I love the cover! Thank you
This book sounds SO good. Definitely an emotional read, but I love the whole premise! And the cover is gorgeous, it definitely seems to capture the tone and setting!
After reading the synopsis and reviews in very interested in reading the book. They cover really is what drew me in. It has beautiful colors and the cover is symbolic to the two characters getting close but them by the lake is a reminder of the traumatic event.
The cover is sweet and emotional, just like the synopsis tells me that this book will be for me.
I love the colors, and the synopsis is intriguing. I love contemporaries.
Looks good!
I definitely know I will spill tears all over myself while reading thins but the synopsis sounds nice and most of all different from any other story I’ve read before. Also the cover is beautiful. I have a bookstagram and I’m a complete bibliophile, so covers mean a lot to me, just as much as the story. The publishers did a great job capturing the synopsis and some extra beauty into this cover.
This books sounds amazing I can’t wait until it comes out so even if I don’t win a copy I can read it
