It's Live!! Cover Reveal: Shadow Call by AdriAnne Strickland and Michael Miller + Giveaway (US Only)

Hi, YABCers!

Today we're super excited to celebrate the cover reveal for SHADOW CALL by AdriAnne Strickland and Michael Miller, releasing April 17, 2018 from Delacorte. Before we get to the cover, here's a note from the authors:

Hi YABC readers!

Much like writing a sequel as strong as the first book, scoring a cover for that sequel that's as awesome as the first book's--or one that's even better--can be a challenge. We tried our hardest to write a sequel to SHADOW RUN that takes the story to a whole new level, and wanted a cover to match. We loved SHADOW RUN's unique look, and weren't sure how the design team at Delacorte could top it. But then this arrived. One of us, at least (not saying who), literally squealed after opening the email with the cover attached. It has everything we could have ever wanted: the colors, the ice, the ship, the space--well, you'll see. We hope you like it as much as we did, and if you squeal too, we're not judging. So, without further delay, here is the cover to Book Two in the Kaitan Chronicles, SHADOW CALL.

Enjoy!

AdriAnne and Michael

SHADOW CALL

By: AdriAnne Strickland and Michael Miller
Release date: April 17, 2018
Publisher: Delacorte
 ISBN: 9780399552571

About the Book

Qole is the youngest starship captain in living memory on her homeworld of Alaxak, and has spent her life hunting a dangerous energy source called Shadow. Alaxans distrust and avoid the galaxy’s royalty as a rule, but Qole is now harboring the exiled prince Nevarian Dracorte, along with some very conflicting feelings about it—and him.

Nev’s feelings are just as complicated, but not toward Qole. When it comes to Qole, he knows one thing: he’d do anything to stay with her. But when Alaxak is attacked and Nev finds himself framed for murder, he realizes the only way to help Qole and her people is to fight for the throne that should be his. To become the royal she might hate.

As for Qole, though she would never have imagined herself as the leader of a rebellion, she soon realizes that hiding from her power is no longer an option. It’s time to answer the call, even if it kills her.

The cover isn't as incredible as "Shadow Run"'s was, but the story does sound good!
