About the Book

A dramatic new novel about the bond between a teen and her twin brother.

Rain has taken care of Ethan all of her life. Before she even knew what autism meant, she's been her twin brother's connection to the hostile world around him. She's always prepared—when her father abandons them, when her mother gets sick, when Ethan is tortured by bullies from school—Rain is the reliable, stable one holding them all together. She's both cautious carer and mad chef, preparing customized meals for her family and posting crazy recipes on her cooking blog.

Each day with Ethan is unvarying and predictable, and she's sure that nothing will ever change—until one night when her world is turned upside down by a mistake she can't take back. As her new romance with her long-time crush and her carefully constructed life begins to unravel, she discovers that the fragile brother whom she's always protected has grown into a young man who no longer needs her. And now, for the first time, she finds that she needs him.

This sounds like such a touching story, and it will really hit home for some siblings. I'm really close to mine, and I couldn't imagine not really speaking to them or needing them in my life. I think the cover is cute as well.

This year, I had a brother & sister pair in my class. The brother had autism, and the sister took care of him like a mother would. This book makes me think of them! I love the cover....very school-minded.

It sounds like a great read, with a relatively plain cover that matches well with the synopsis.

The cover is just 'meh' for me. I'm not sure what I expected but this...wasn't it.

The synopsis is interesting. I've been thinking a lot about YA books dealing with disabilities and those who care for or, know those with them. There aren't many. This would be a great addition to my list.

The cover doesn't really tell me anything about the book. The story sounds really good and there need to be more stories with characters on the spectrum.

As a writer I love notebooks, so the cover is very cool. I think this will be an emotional book to read and I will enjoy it.
