Today we're super excited to celebrate the cover reveal for RELATIVE STRANGERS by Paula Garner, releasing April 10, 2018 from Candlewick Press. Before we get to the cover, here's a note from Paula:

Hi, YABC readers! I'm so excited to share with you the cover of Relative Strangers. Pam Consolazio's gorgeous design incorporates so many elements of the story, and with such nuance. The background evokes a painting in the book that ends up having enormous significance to Jules, and the distance between the people on the cover reflects the way some of the people Jules knows best suddenly seem like strangers—and the way certain strangers turn out to be closer to Jules than she ever knew. I can't wait to see what you think of the cover—and Jules's story. Don't forget to enter the ARC giveway below if you'd like to read Relative Strangers early!

About the Book

Eighteen-year-old Jules has always wished for a close-knit family. Jules’s life and future look as flat and unchanging as her small Illinois town. Then a simple quest to find a baby picture for the senior yearbook leads to an earth-shattering discovery: for most of the first two years of her life, Jules lived in foster care. Reeling from feelings of betrayal and with only the flimsiest of clues, Jules sets out to learn the truth about her past. What she finds is a wonderful family who loved her as their own and hoped to adopt her — including a now-adult foster brother who is overjoyed to see his sister again. About the Author

Paula Garner spends most of her time writing, reading, or making good things to eat. Her debut YA novel, Phantom Limbs, was published in 2016 by Candlewick Press and is a 2017 Illinois Reads selection for grades 9-12. Paula lives in the Chicago area with her family and a very bad cat.

Ive read the synopsis and theres quite a lot of interest in me now. I dont know if I could possibly wait till April 2018 to read it.
