It’s Live!! Cover Reveal: Jennifer Strange by Cat Scully + Giveaway (Intl)

Hi, YABCers!

Today we're excited to celebrate the cover reveal for

Jennifer Strange, by Cat Scully,

releasing July 23, 2019 from Haverhill House Publishing!

Before we get to the cover, here's a note from the author:

Hi YABC! And welcome to the cover reveal for JENNIFER STRANGE!

I'm excited to share the cover of my debut novel, JENNIFER STRANGE! Not only the debut of the cover, but the reveal of the map for JENNIFER STRANGE as well!

I never expected to be doing my own cover. I always planned for this novel to be visual, and I couldn't believe my luck when my publisher agreed to not only let me do a map for the book and illustrate the epistolary portions, but turn it into a comic as well. When the full book releases, there will be illustrated journal entries, comic panels, and of course, the whole story of Jennifer and her sister Liz fighting off ghosts and demons in Savannah while a rival family hunts them down. Even with all of the illustrated portions, I never expected to do my own cover. I even sent a sketch to our cover designer at Haverhill, Dyer Wilk, because he does such AMAZING work. He told me I was good - my design was great on its own. I was floored. Covers are difficult to get exactly right, and I never expected I would, even though I've been designing book interiors for years. The final cover went through several revisions and it wouldn't be what it is today without the help and encouragement of my friends - Dyer Wilk, Todd Keisling, Christopher Golden, my agent Miriam Kriss, and my editor John McIlveen.

Check out more about my book below and enter the exclusive giveaway with lots of Jennifer-themed swag and treats. This will be the first of several giveaways, but it's going to be the BIGGEST, so definitely enter now!

Cheers!

Jennifer Strange

Cat Scully

Release date: July 23, 2019

Publisher: Haverhill House Publishing

About the Book

When her father disappears, Jennifer Strange moves in with her estranged sister Liz in Savannah, Georgia, one of the most haunted places in the United States. When the ghosts begin to tear Jennifer and Liz's lives apart, the sisters must learn to trust each other again if they hope to uncover the truth about their family history. If they can’t sort out their differences, they’ll not only destroy the veil between the living and the dead, but fall into the hands of a rival family that wants them dead.

Cat Scully's illustrations bring the ghosts and demons of her fictional world to eerie and beautiful life, harkening back to the style of SCARY STORIES TO TELL IN THE DARK and Ransom Riggs' MISS PEREGRINE'S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN.

I love Savannah and ghost stories, so this sounds amazing!!
Not normally a fan of graphic novels, but might have to make an exception for this one.
