Today we're super excited to celebrate the cover reveal for GARDEN OF THORNS by Amber Mitchell, releasing March 6, 2017 from Entangled Teen. Before we get to the cover, here's a note from Amber:
Hey YABC readers!
I’m thrilled to share the cover of my debut novel GARDEN OF THORNS with all of you. I had this worry that a cover of flowers wouldn’t portray the harsh reality of Rose’s world, striving to escape a burlesque dance troupe that looked so beautiful on the surface but spun violently with every misstep. But my worries completely melted away the moment I opened my email and saw the simplistic beauty and color palette. I fell in love with the striking image of a shredded heart entangled in thorns, struggling to break free even as it’s being captured and the spiky flower at the top luring in an innocent butterfly. This image perfectly mirrors the struggle Rose goes through to find herself and the political struggle overtaking the land. The cover even looks like a classic tattoo, and tattoos play a significant role in the story. Even though Rose’s world is dangerous, I loved finding all its hidden beauty, and can’t wait for you all to discover it too in GARDEN OF THORNS!

GARDEN OF THORNS
After seven grueling years of captivity in the Garden—a burlesque troupe of slave girls—sixteen-year-old Rose finds an opportunity to escape during a performance for the emperor. But the hostage she randomly chose from the crowd to aid her isn’t one of the emperor’s men—not anymore. He’s the former heir to the throne, who is now leading a rebellion against it.
Rayce is a wanted man and dangerously charismatic, the worst person for Rose to get involved with, no matter what his smile promises. But he assumes Rose’s attempt to take him hostage is part of a plot to crush the rebellion, so he takes her as his hostage. Now Rose must prove where her loyalties lie, and she offers Rayce a deal—if he helps her rescue the other girls, she’ll tell him all the Garden’s secrets.
Except the one secret she’s kept for seven years that she’ll take to her grave if she must.
