It’s Live!! Cover Reveal: ALL THE WANDERING LIGHT by Heather Fawcett + Giveaway (Intl)
Today we're super excited to celebrate the cover reveal for ALL THE WANDERING LIGHT (EVEN THE DARKEST STARS #2) by Heather Fawcett, releasing December 4, 2018 from Balzer+Bray. Before we get to the cover, here's a note from Heather:
Hi YABC! I’m thrilled to share the cover of ALL THE WANDERING LIGHT, my second fantasy novel and the sequel to 2017’s EVEN THE DARKEST STARS. The cover was designed by the brilliant team at Balzer+Bray and Jeff Huang, the artist behind the beautiful ETDS cover. If anything, I think they outdid themselves with this one. I particularly like how the colour schemes contrasts with ETDS’s cover, while the landscape elements (stars and snow-capped mountains, what else?) tie them together. As much as I love ETDS (it was my first novel, after all), I actually like ATWL more—the stakes are higher, the story is more explosive, and the characters are thrown into new adventures while navigating shifting dynamics in their relationships. I hope readers who joined Kamzin on her journey to Mount Raksha in EVEN THE DARKEST STARS will love ALL THE WANDERING LIGHT as much as I do.

ALL THE WANDERING LIGHT
By: Heather Fawcett
Release Date: December 4, 2018
After the terrifying events on Mount Raksha, the witches have returned, and River has betrayed Kamzin to regain his dark powers. The witches’ next step: march on the Three Cities and take over the Empire—led by River’s brother, Esha.
If Kamzin is to save Azmiri and prevent the fall of the Empire, she must find a star that fell in the Ash Mountains to the north. Fallen stars have immense power, and if Kamzin and Lusha can find the star, they can use its magic to protect the Empire. To get there, Kamzin has allied with Azar-at, the dangerous and deceptive fire demon, who can grant her great power—in exchange for pieces of her soul. But River wants the star too, and as their paths collide in dangerous and unexpected ways, Kamzin must wrestle with both her guilt and her conflicted feelings for the person who betrayed her.
Facing dark magic, a perilous journey, and a standoff against the witches, can Kamzin, Lusha, and Tem find the star and save their Empire?

What do you think about the cover and synopsis?
I think I like this cover even more too. The contrast is amazing and it even features a dragon! I just finished the first last month and I'm so ready for the sequel. This one sounds even more exciting and I can't wait to see Kamzin and River racing for something, especially now that she's the one with Adar-at and he's at full power. Plus I have so many questions and I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens to everyone. I'm even thinking of getting a custom candle for River ?.
I am blown away by this cover, mountains and stars are like home to me. Ahhh I can't get enough whoever designed this deserves an award and I am so excited to go back to these incredible characters and breathtaking world.
OH MY GOSH. I love this!!! I've been so excited to see ATWL's cover because ETDS had one of the most amazing covers last year (PLUS I got the special foiled edition from Fairyloot). I'mmm sooo sooo excited about the synopsis - sounds like it's just going to be as exciting and action-packed as last time, and I can't wait to read more about Kamzin and more Azar-at will be super interesting!! GGGGOOOSH. I thought it will be out on September, but I guess I have to wait a couple MORE months. TORTURE.
As much as I loved the first cover, I feel that this one is even more stunning! There is more atmosphere and depth, and details that promise adventure and exploration. Paired with the synopsis for ATWL... I can't wait to read it!!
