It's Live!! Cover Reveal: Emerge: The Captive by Melissa A. Craven + Giveaway (US Only)

Hi, YABCers!

Today we're excited to celebrate the cover reveal for EMERGE: THE CAPTIVE (EMERGE BOOK 3) by Melissa A. Craven, releasing August 28, 2017, from Midnight Hour Studio. Before we get to the cover, here's a note from Melissa:

Hi YABC! Welcome to the exclusive cover reveal for EMERGE: THE CAPTIVE book three of the Emerge series.

I'm so excited to share this very special book with you all. Up until now, the series has focused on the main character, Allie Carmichael, but The Captive is Quinn and Sasha’s story. The dual points of view pick up just a few months after the end of Emerge: The Awakening (Emerge book 1) and shows Quinn and Sasha’s experiences leading up to the events of Emerge: The Judgment (Emerge: Book 2).

I was totally blown away when my cover designer, Zoe Shtorm completely nailed the mood of this book. She kept the vibrant colors you usually see from the series, but she also managed to capture Quinn’s desperation as well. And we’re not in Cleveland anymore! The urban setting has move to Atlanta (and a few other unexpected places) for this book. The skyline is a prominent part of the cover where Quinn rests in Piedmont Park along Lake Clara Meer. Zoe definitely rocked this cover. I hope you all love it as much as I do!

And for my readers who are eager to see where the series is going after the chaotic events of Emerge: The Judgment, Allie’s story will continue soon in EMERGE: THE HEIR. Watch for release date announcements on my website later this year.

The Preorder is Live!

Enjoy!

EMERGE: THE CAPTIVE (EMERGE BOOK 3)

By: Melissa A. Craven
Release date: July 27, 2017
Publisher: Midnight Hour Studio
About the Book

A moment of distraction has cost him his freedom but

Quinnton Loukas has a dangerous secret

Held as a captive of the Immortal organization, known as Soma, if his secret is discovered it will be used against him. From the moment of his Awakening, Quinn has struggled with an addiction to his power. The rigid self-control that has kept his addiction at bay is now in the hands of another. If Livia discovers what he is capable of, she will drive him to become the monster he fears is lurking deep inside his soul. His only hope is to escape before she has that chance. But there are others at Soma. Those he’s grown to care for and refuses to leave behind.

Thousands of miles away in India, Sasha blames herself for the capture of the boy she’s loved nearly all her life. As she and her family work to find a way to bring Quinn home, Sasha is caught up on a journey of her own that will take her far from everything she ever thought she wanted. Drafted by the Senate into a brutal training program, Sasha begins to discover who she truly is and how little control she has over her own destiny.

Sasha and Quinn have always shared a special bond, but with their lives moving in opposite directions can they ever go back to the way they were?

Or is there something much more complicated about the future of their relationship?

About the Author

Melissa A. Craven was born near Atlanta, Georgia, but moved to Cleveland, Ohio at the age of seventeen. She still thinks of Cleveland as home, so it was only natural for Emerge to take place there.

Today, she’s back in Atlanta—for some reason she can't seem to stay away from the ungodly heat that makes her long for things like "lake effect snow" and wind that will knock you flat.

Melissa decided a long time ago that the “life checklist” everyone else was clutching so tightly in their fists just wasn’t for her. She does everything backward because she's weird like that. (With a proven history of doing things the hard way.)

She is an avid student of art and design, and received a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of West Georgia in 2009. She works as a part time interior designer for an Atlanta based Design House – but only when she's not in the writing cave.

In her spare time, if she has any, she enjoys playing dorky board games and shopping for derelict furniture she refinishes to exercise the interior design part of her brain.

The cover looks very different from what I imagined after reading the synopsis. It sounds like the type of book I'd like, but I wouldn't know that from the cover.

Love the cover but for some odd reason I immediately thought of Spiderman. ? The synopsis sounds really interesting. However, I wonder if it can be read without having read any of the other books in the series...?
