Today we're excited to celebrate the cover reveal for THE SMALLEST THING by Lisa Manterfield, releasing July 18, 2017, from Steel Rose Press. Before we get to the cover, here's a note from Lisa:

Hello, YABC! I’m so pleased to be here today to unveil the cover for my new book, THE SMALLEST THING.

I swooned when I first saw this cover. The artist, Rossi, did a brilliant job of capturing the feel of my story. She included the elements of romance and mystery, and the contrast between the idyllic English village where the book is set and the shocking image of the man in the HAZMAT suit. Some authors have to fight to get covers they love, but when I first saw this one, all I had to contribute was, “Um, can you make the guy a bit bigger?” Now I’ve shared the outside of the book with you, I can’t wait to share the inside, too.

About the Book

The very last thing 17-year-old Emmott Syddall wants is to turn out like her dad. I love the cover, it's very romantic and contemporary. When I read the synopsis, I was surprised by the story line. It sounds like a book I'd love, but it doesn't really go with the cover (in my opinion).
